We have 3 very good recruits...This class will include 2 more kids. If we miss on THT we will look to recruit someone for Spring period and if nobody is there we will look to grab 1 grad transfer guard IMO.

The nice thing is we already have Shayok locked up for next year. I'm doubting you find many, if any, grad transfer guards of that caliber available this spring.

Yes and she can play the 2 or 3 but likely 3. Lose Babb and DJ. Add a stud transfer and u hvae a lineup of :

LW
Stud Transfer
Shayok
Tally
SY

That is a very very good starting 5 probably.

From what I am seeing, THT is taking in-home visits from his top three this week and then will announce on Thursday, so he has done nothing to tip his hand so far and all these posts, here or otherwise, suggesting he is a lean one way or the other are just wild speculation. We still are the best school, the best fan base and the best team on his list (my opinion of course) so no reason we should not come out on top.

I don't see Prohm looking for a grad transfer. We'll have Shayok, NWB and Tally all Seniors contributing at the 2-4 positions. Lewis and the three Freshmen are more than capable of filling the rotation out. I see Prohm looking for a pure SG and another 4 in 2019 and only add a late 2018 commit if he had a shot at a true game changer.

"I polled TCR’s staff on its sentiments toward this recruitment, and the response was unquestionably leaning toward Talen choosing Iowa State. Just like you heard Illinois from day one in the Ayo recruitment, it’s been all Cyclones in this one. Steve Prohm has come into Illinois and snuck off into the night with Zion Griffin and George Conditt so you cant be surprised if he chooses Iowa State.

But a source close to the recruitment has given me some late confidence this could very well swing the Illini’s way. There’s also been a mix-up in THT’s recent crystal ball projections.

From what I’m told, the rift between THT and Ayo is overhyped or is at least manageable, and that same source tells me to have more confidence in Underwood landing him than we previously thought."

Nobody knows.

That's a pretty level headed look at it. There's definitely some friction between the Ayo camp and the THT camp (warning bells, anyone?), but that may be played up as a face saving measure for Illinois should THT choose ISU. Then they can tell their fans that they didn't want to risk losing their 5 star for the prospect of bringing on a 4 star. We'll see.

I know we have a great class...but I want this kid.

He's a difference maker at the college level. A Kenny Pratt (hopefully without the criminal element), George Niang type guy that every team hates to see on the floor.

A guy opposing fans look and and smirk at a little...then watch him kill them Every. Single. Game.
