Agree that it's a must win for us to have bowl aspirations.I'm thinking we get this one. I would agree our defense isn't what we showed against OU. That was just a weird game that got away from us.
For me, it kind of falls into that "must win" category. You win and you can feel ok about being .500 and showing improvement. You lose, and the season could fall completely apart quickly.
Minnesota???? No way it's that loud.To clarify - Iowa is high on loudness because of all the boos. Iowa State is high on the quietest as we're waiting for our team to get their heads out of their asses.
Here's hoping TCU will Kum & Go with an L.![]()
This is a pretty funny thread. There are quite a few others on their site as well.
"I was there in 2013. Flew right into little airport in Ames. Great atmosphere! Very friendly fans! I wish I could go this year.
The sign at a local Ames convenience store by the Ames airport was a little disturbing."

Laughable.
TCU has a decent run game, their leading guy will end up with 1,200 to 1,500 yards on the season. They should on paper have better athletes when you look position by position, but it's still a crapshoot. I'm worried about them being balanced on offense, our defense is somewhat weak when it can't key in on one of run or passing.I like the Cyclones to cover and think the game is a coin-flip, personally. TCU has struggled to get the ground game going and if the Clones can force them to become one-dimensional, I think they have a pretty good chance of pulling it out late. WVU got to Morris five times last week, so I think we will be able to generate some pressure.
Yeah, I definitely think the recipe for TCU to start to pull away is a balanced attack that keeps the defense on its heels. I can't help but feel a little bit uncertain about the Cyclone defense after last week (for the first time in a very, very long time).TCU has a decent run game, their leading guy will end up with 1,200 to 1,500 yards on the season. Or you could just realize that BigGameBoomer trolls ISU fans regularly. And that is entirely on AD for cramming the students in the corner away from the field and the band. You can have all the electronic bells and whistles...rap, rock, whatever type of music right before the game....during timeouts....halftime...whenever. None of it makes a dent because they have to be shut down as the game is ongoing. Meanwhile the students can be as loud as they want every minute of the game. Just not a very bright move.
