Reece Davis: Nah, they shouldn’t have needed it. Michigan is better coached and they just beat Bielema which is more impressive.Probably even though it is more impressive of TCU to do it on the road.

Watch this:
TCU beats BU on a last sec FG
Media: Look how lucky and overrated TCU is!
Michigan beat IL in the same way.
Media: Look at how deep the BIG is and the toughness Michigan has!
That just sets up the huge upset special next week. ISU knocks TCU out of CFP.
or not.
Garrett Riley, their OC, is really, really good. Every TCU game I've watched this year, what stands out to me is their play calling. We need someone like that.what in the world?! I was sure they were totally screwing everything up, but then that FG team executes to *literal perfection*.
As an ISU fan I can't even imagine what that must be like![]()
Of course. And if somehow we pull the major upset, expect the pundits to act as if TCU lost to a winless team.Regardless of the ISU game tonight, be ready for a lot of national media dogging ISU this week in order to fit their narrative that TCU shouldn't be in the playoffs.
We re also known for a good defense and horrible pathetic offense.Iowa state is good for two things:
Being a team's "get-right" game
Ruining the season of Big12 teams not named OU
Rece Davis is such a dill hole. Used to like him years ago, but that guy spews elitist asshat and is Big Ten and SEC only.Reece Davis: Nah, they shouldn’t have needed it. Michigan is better coached and they just beat Bielema which is more impressive.
Not to defend the talking heads but if the two do have a single loss one is to Georgia and one is to Iowa State. I mean that’s not comparable in any way. Not to mention Tennessee has the best win of the two as well against Alabama.Of course. And if somehow we pull the major upset, expect the pundits to act as if TCU lost to a winless team.
When the ESPN rankings going into today were giving Tennessee (9-1) a much better chance to make the playoff than TCU (10-0), you know who'll get the screw job if it comes to that.
Yeah, this is the scenario I was thinking about. And you're right. Tennessee would probably get the nod over TCU in this situation. Not to defend the talking heads but if the two do have a single loss one is to Georgia and one is to Iowa State. However, if we beat them and then the Frogs win the title game to finish with one loss they should jump a non-conference champ. They won’t but should.
Tcu is going to have their hands full with our D, no question of that. That just sets up the huge upset special next week. ISU knocks TCU out of CFP.

Baylor should've taken their time to substitute.
Any coach on the defensive side worth their salt could’ve ran that clock out
This is specifically addressed in the rulebook, under the Approved Rulings section. When a team has 4th down with little time remaining and no timeouts and the FG team immediately runs onto the field, the defense should expect a FG attempt so the officials won't delay the snap. However if there are 30 seconds left and the offense waits until there are only 10 seconds left to run out the kicking team, then the ref WILL delay the snap until the defense can get their FG defense team on the field because the offense deliberately tried to confuse the defense on its intentions. However, the refs are able to call a delay of game on the defense if they try to spend too much time "substituting" to run the clock out. It's at the referee's discretion.I wonder if there is a different rule for 4th down field goals. Beats me?

It’s like you typed it that way on purpose… lol
