One major thing I took away from the past few days is that I am glad we have our players over theirs. Atleast our players have personalities and are not dumb. If you watched their players in interviews expect for miller you would be surprised that they graduated from high school, they are lucky they are so talented.

You guys made every thing you threw up, we missed almost all of ours... logical outcome. Sorry, but Royce was the best player on the floor TONIGHT.

Nobody is going to stop Kentucky. They'd beat NBA teams, crap they have just as much talent as some NBA teams do.

this would be sooooo sweet and would not surprise me at all.

Yeah, it would be sweet, but tell that to the teams that lost to Memphis and UMass. That's what pisses me off about the way this stuff is handled. Calipari gets to float around from job to job all the while leaving a mess that everyone else has to deal with. The man should have been banned from coaching in College after the Memphis debacle.

That being said, if this one stands, it's a helluva team they have in Kentucky. Sour grapes aside, I've never seen a team shoot like that before. Our best game wouldn't have beaten that team tonight. They didn't miss a shot. It never ceases to amaze me how Cyclone teams always run into these types of teams.

I don't know about the players, but Davis's momma was not classy at all.

I'm rooting for Barnes & Co. now, lol!

Really? The NCAA has never done ISU any favors . . remember playing Michigan State?

You're alright for a UK fan. I agree the plan was to take the bigs out of it and hit our 3's. That didn't happen but I think that had alot to do with how good on Defense UK was tonight. Other than the monster run in 2nd half, thought that it was a good game. Amd honestly who doesn't have UK in the final 4? I know I did.

As I said before, as soon as the pairings were announced, I figured it would be UK vs Iowa State in the Round of 32. I'm not just a diehard UK fan, but also an avid follower and student of college basketball in general, so I knew how dangerous your team was. Now that we've played, my opinion hasn't changed.

I'm sure your game plan was to take away our strength -- the paint -- and allow us to shoot threes, which is our perceived weakness. But those who claim we can't shoot threes know nothing about our team. We don't shoot a lot of threes because we typically dominate inside. Why take threes when you can get dunks and layups? So while we didn't take a lot of threes this year, we hit a good percentage of the threes we took. We shoot 38% as a team. We rank around #250 in the country in 3PT attempts, but we're in the top 50 in 3PT percentage. When we take them, we hit a lot of them.

So, while this wasn't a typical game for us style-wise, I give your team credit for it. You did what you had to do to win. We got nothing from a 2nd team all-american (Gilchrist) and our 2nd leading scorer (Lamb) spent much of the game in foul trouble. I thought the refs sucked. Way too many touch fouls called, both ways. That shouldn't happen in the NCAA tourney.

My last point: Royce White. What a player! The only thing he lacks is a shooting stroke. Inside 15 feet he's a monster. We couldn't handle him for awhile, because no one on our team wanted to take a charge from him to stop his drives to the rim. But that changed when he said he was the best player on the floor. I think it was a 42-42 game when he did that, and it lit a fire in our team. That's just not something you do. Our players don't talk trash or hot dog in any way, so when Royce White did that, I think it changed the game. From that moment, we went on something like a 22-2 run. I think he's a great player, but that was a bad decision by him.

Again, thanks for allowing me to post here. This is a great site.

I've always wondered why Umass isn't good anymore, and why Memphis is starting to get average recruits lately? Must be some coach. All these studs wanna play for him.

I guess I don't understand you calling me out on this one. This year Kentucky didn't need any help from the Refs, Michigan State was the NCAA darling that year and they weren't going to keep them out of the final four. Either way it's a team we ran into that couldn't lose. Not sure why you are insinuating I forgot about Michigan State.

I think Raff brought that up during the game. We've played three #1 seeds all in virtual home games for them.

If we get a #1 next year do we get to play in Des Moines?

Kentucky unbeatable if hitting jumpers like that, especially late in the shot clock. It's amazing how similar this is to the 2005 second round game against UNC.

They want to play for him because he tells them up front he doesn't care if they are one and done, and he'll showcase their talents for the NBA. I so long for the day when the NBA comes up with some kind of arrangement similar to MLB.
