That game was stolen from us.

We need to buy our own refs like several other teams seem to have. Bob Huggins plays the refs like a master. I think buy refs would be better investment than NIL.
When you say play like a master you mean complain to the ref about every call and flap your arms like a bird. At one point I thought he might fly off the ground.

Refs were bad all night but replay clearly showed there wasn’t a foul on that one lol. Caleb anticipated a foul and it cost him
I don't blame him. It was a fist fight in a phone booth all game and you go up for the that layup you expect contact. Correct call but from the refs poor performance it looks like a blown call.

Lol, amazing that we never lose a game according to some, just have it stolen every single time.

They played well enough and choked at the end.
Usually we lose the game because the other team was better. Clearly not the case tonight.

He is either a poor ball handler or not confident in it which then makes him poor on the dribble and contributes to our issues when pressed

That wasnt the issue.

The problem was he was more concerned about throwing his head back and selling the foul than he was making the layup. An egregious mistake with how the game was being called. If he pays more attention to making the shot, just like at the end of the OSU game, he likely makes it.

Grill has been great this year but the pouting the frustration bs with the refs or how's he's guarded needs to stop. Play your game as the other stuff is out of your control.

I'm often a ref apologist but that was a poorly officiated game. I'd be really curious to know these refs' schedules. Felt like guys that weren't used to working together and different opinions about how close to call the game.

I'm also pretty sure at least 1 or 2 of them are mainly ACC/Big 10 guys. It's a recurring problem that refs for WVU home games are often doing primarily just their games in the Big 12. I'm worried about whether there will be similar issues with BYU and UCF.

When we suck, we suck. Sucked at Iowa. Sucked down the stretch at TT....... but this was truly the worst officiating I have ever seen. It makes me sad........ for everyone, including us hard-core fans. My mind is blown by all of it...... but that flagrant foul and the reverse on the travel call and the reverse on Rob Jones in the first half. I have to wonder if a complaint can't somehow be filed. It was crazy

Play like you're the #11 team in the country. No excuses.
This is such a stupid take. There is so much variance in college bball and especially in the B12 where any road game is tough to win. Oklahoma beat #2 Alabama by 24 a couple weeks ago. WVU was favored by 5 tonight, so we played exactly as the #11 team should. It’s reasonable to be upset with awful officiating as it makes it that much harder and in this case probably cost us the game.
