That game was stolen from us.

Not exactly sure.
TJ doesn’t need a T but he can get ticked and yell once during the game and get the warning at least here and there during the season.

Idk what it is with Grill, but he loses his mind on fast break situations.
I think he jumps too early, and ends up jumping more horizontally than vertically. Watching him in pregame, he actually has insane bounce and should be better at finishing at the rim

It's the truth, you're fine with 5 straight losses? I'm sick of it. We are throwing away a Big 12 title shot.

FFS, stop being a moron. There's a reason why WVU was favored to win this game. Losing a 23 point lead at Texas Tech is something to lose your mind about and/or lose sleep about. If you're going to be mad about anything be p!ssed off at the way that game was called.

When we suck, we suck. Sucked at Iowa. Sucked down the stretch at TT....... but this was truly the worst officiating I have ever seen. It makes me sad........ for everyone, including us hard-core fans. My mind is blown by all of it...... but that flagrant foul and the reverse on the travel call and the reverse on Rob Jones in the first half. I have to wonder if a complaint can't somehow be filed. It was crazy

I can't remember seeing a foul call being changed from one team to another based on a review.

I thought reviews were only to see if something was an flagrant or regular basketball play.

And I've never seen an F1 because someone's face ran into the screener's shoulder.

I haven't watched it yet.
Texas, Baylor, and Kansas didn't have issues there.

Like I've said numerous times, you can say it's only 1 game and a Quad 1 road loss, but these that keep piling up are the reasons why we go 10-8 instead of 13-5 and winning a Big 12 title.

I'm often a ref apologist but that was a poorly officiated game. I'd be really curious to know these refs' schedules. Felt like guys that weren't used to working together and different opinions about how close to call the game.

I'm also pretty sure at least 1 or 2 of them are mainly ACC/Big 10 guys. It's a recurring problem that refs for WVU home games are often doing primarily just their games in the Big 12. I'm worried about whether there will be similar issues with BYU and UCF.
I've wondered about that as well. Due to geographic isolation, WVU home games theoretically could have a completely different pool of officials than most of the rest of the Big 12 that sees a more common group of officials. It may not work in reverse because WVU would see a much more homogenous group of officials the Big 12 uses when they are playing on the road. For the other nine teams going into Morgantown, it might be groups of officials they only work with one time a year. It's just hard to quantify how much they benefit by it, (if there's any benefit at all.)

that was the most brutal and frustrating game of basketball i've ever watched. those refs should be blacklisted by the conference for the rest of their careers
I agree with your post. The BIG 12 conference should demand better ref crews than the crew that officiated the game tonight. BIG 12 is the best league in basketball and should have the best officials calling the games.

Yeah, i posted something similar earlier in the thread. I'd be curious how often the 3 at tonights game make it to games in other big 12 arenas.

Is that 5 straight losses for the "road dawwwgs"?

The team TJ threw together last year will end up with more road wins than this current crew who has been hovering around the Top 15 all year.
But that bunch spit the bit at home. What was score at Morgantown last year? This team probably ends up 11-7 vs last year that went 7-11.

He picks up his dribble outside of the 3 point line and then tries to run the rest of the way to the basket. It's bizarre. I think he just panics

Lol, amazing that we never lose a game according to some, just have it stolen every single time.

They played well enough and choked at the end.

Find me the last game we had three players foul out in regulation and two others with 4 fouls in regulation.

Doesn’t even have to be ISU, find me any other game with any team losing that many and having two more with 4 before overtime.

It’s not a common thing. Ollie would have had to finish this thing if we went to overtime.

For the record this is the only game this season where the officials definitely dictated the result. Missouri/UConn/Iowa we got our butt kicked. OKSt and Tech we peed down our leg even though the calls were terrible vs Tech the final ten minutes. @KU we lost playing a good game.

Tonight was nothing like those. First half of the Baylor game in football was like this, but this was MOST of the game.

This is such a stupid take. There is so much variance in college bball and especially in the B12 where any road game is tough to win. Oklahoma beat #2 Alabama by 24 a couple weeks ago. WVU was favored by 5 tonight, so we played exactly as the #11 team should. It’s reasonable to be upset with awful officiating as it makes it that much harder and in this case probably cost us the game.
Help me understand why
