Instead of complaining, what whould u do ?
and, don't say, get rid of the coach or current players as that can't happen.... ideas? that is what a message board 'could' be used for...

He's not being paid for ideas, but some people are. There are people to be held accountable, but its not this guy.

Don't think I ever said he was.
It is a choice, think positively or negatively.
Actually - all of us can provide ideas, we just aren't in a position to make the decision.

Those people probably have more pressure than you and I regarding this situation.

I choose to think things will turn-around.
My idea - play Boozer and Buckley, i think they provide the energy the team needs.

I had this convo with my wife, if I chose it we'd play Diante, Buckley, Boozer, Brackins and Ham the rest of the year with Lucca and VDB first off the bench. We probably lose every game the rest of the way but that's why I'm not coaching.

I'm in total agreement with this line of thinking.....we need to get to the rim more. Two things this lineup gives us: better dribble penetration, and better offensive rebounding. What would suffer from this lineup? Buckley's defense is supposedly a little questionable, but playing Booze more would counteract that. Certainly our shooting can't get any worse, and we'd be able to run more as well. Am I missing anything here? Doesn't this seem pretty cut and dry?

Instead of thinking positively or negatively, I prefer to think realistically - which means I think our program's looking like crap.

I could go with that.
I think we may get a little more movement with that group.

What happened to that movement that was brought in for the Colorado game in the first half. I thought we may have finally figured it out, but I guess it was too much for McD. So, we go back to standing around and doing nothing but shooting from half court other than CB.

IMO, there is a difference between being upset about a lose and being irrational and rude.

For me being a cyclone fan is supposed to be fun, yes even if we lose. Really I find it more upsetting to come on the boards and read than to actually watch us lose. Its really like Iowa State University is a part of my family and even if we lose I still support them.
I have no respect for people who shout obscenities at games no matter how bad we are losing especially when they are directed at members of the team and even coaching staff. In many ways I think message boards and comment sections on newspaper websites have become a real negative for society and feed the natural tendancy to whine and moan about everything all anonymously but in a very public venue.
One of the main reasons I really enjoyed cyclonefanatic and to some extent still do was its positive nature compared to the scout and rivals boards. That has faded with cyclonefanatics increased popularity. I even think there was an uptick in negativity after the WHO special.
I think that in the end my outlook on sports in general is different than most peoples. I believe that the people that scream at games and rip on the teams constantly do care but I guess I just don’t view caring as an excuse for being a jerk.

Um, we may lose every game the rest of the way with our current lineup, so a change certainly couldn't hurt.
