I don't have one, but that's basically contrary to everything I've read about it.
My reply was to his question of whether it's worth the extra $100. To me that answer is no.

You said you wouldn't notice the extra resolution on a tablet, which is completely the opposite of every review I've seen.My reply was to his question of whether it's worth the extra $100. To me that answer is no.

I agree with jdogg, probably not worth a repurchase if you have an iPad2, but I can't imagine someone who doesn't have a tablet would choose the 2 over the 3 for only $100 more. Unless you do like I've read and just don't look at the iPad3 in person, because people say you won't want to go back after you've seen it.
Be interesting to see how widespread it becomes. Haven't heard much about it yet.New iPad 3 Release: Users Report Battery Problems, Makes Tablet 'Unusable' for Some - International Business Times
Is Your New iPad Overheating?
Hmmm, maybe the ipad 2 is the way to go.

Congratulations. This thread isn't about that.
If you want Apple fanbois to stop trolling threads dedicated to PC and Android advice, then PC and Android users probably shouldn't be trolling threads dedicated to Apple advice. Just a thought.

I'm probably considered anti-Apple. I have an android phone, don't like apple computers, hate itunes, and haven't really been impressed by Apple computers. I have had multiple Ipod's and have been happy with those.
With all that in mind, I bought one of the new Ipads and so far I've been pretty impressed. I have a Dell laptop and I figured I'd use the Dell about 70% of the time and the Ipad 30% of the time. After using it for 3 days I'd say it's going to be about 90% Ipad. For just surfing Safari does an alright job. I prefer Chrome but Safari gets the job done. My wife has an Ipad 2 and to be honest on 95% of the applications you really can't see a big difference, they both look great. I also haven't noticed any difference in the speed of launching applications. I do think as more apps get converted you'll notice more of a difference. I can tell you that the camera and video are a lot better on the new Ipad.
What I like about the android phone is that I can make a bunch of changes. What I don't like about the android is that some of the apps seem to bog it down. I like the widgets on the Android which the Ipad doesn't seem to have.
Overall happier than I thought I'd be with the Ipad.
I've had the Transformer for quite awhile now. There are some glitches, but I love it, and the Prime is supposed to be even better. Good purchase, my man.
This is pretty much the same for virtually every single Apple product - the biggest Apple fans get in line to be the very first to buy the brand new iProduct for the honor of being able to say they are the first, and they are usually the ones that report all the bugs and problems with the product. Essentially, the fanbois stand in line and pay premium dollars to do the QA for Apple.
What you want to do is wait a few months, allow Apple to fix the problems, and then buy. But the fact there are problems on initial release shouldn't surprise anyone.
Anyone with an ipad 3 having some over heat issues? I have been reading some articles here and there about it running pretty hot.

I've noticed it getting warm (not hot) if I'm charging it and watching netflix, etc. at the same time.My 2 doesnt do that at all. Even pushing a heavy game on it for a long time. Must be fairly rare then.
