I wish K State didn't win on the road today. Their resume is a little better than ours even though they are behind us. Too early to say but if they sweep us we are probably in big trouble.

It's early...if that needed repeating.

Believing we finish the season on the bubble (9-9 or 10-8 in conference play) is not being a debbie downer. The "taking care of business" that I think is doubtful is finishing 11-7 or better.
a 20 win (bubble team) in the big 12 will not be ignored. even with losses to drake and uni. you're right that it is a factor but i think playing the the big12 would help us more than the in state rivals we lost to

At 20-11 (10-8), we would be on the bubble. There have been numerous major conference teams left out with 20 wins and .500 or better conference records (including 2011 CU).

Hey guys, we have already proved we can play with the big dogs in the league...why don't we just win the Big 12 tournament and then we won't have to worry about being a bubble team?

but you think CU wasleft out because of bad non con losses? i think they would look at this team and deem them tourney worthy

An empty gym looks really bad on national tv too, btw.

You don't realize how many arena shots the networks rely on during a game until you get a steady diet of empty seatbacks.

It was so quiet you could hear the coaches and refs talking in between plays. Eerily similar to the TT football game.

For a bubble team that is left out, every loss is a bad in the sense it has a huge opp cost. CU lost 4 non-conference games, UGa, UNM, Harvard, and San Fran. They win 2 of those and they are in. Comparing the two situations, imo UNI and Drake are just as bad as any of those 4 losses.

But we didnt lose 4 non con games. i think if we continue to win and have a good upset or 2 we are in

If you are so hung up on past results then we will be 12-6 in the conference right?

Then why did you use it in response to "have a winning record in the Big 12". Is 10-8 not a winning record? Say what you mean. We aren't mind readers.

The way we're playing, the Drake and UNI games won't matter.

Bring it, Big 12!

When we play KSU, there may be records for FT rebounds. That would be interesting to see.

Looking at the schedules, if we don't beat KSU at home, 4th place will be a major uphill climb for us. I'm thinking 5 Big 12 teams get in assuming the 5th place team beats somebody with a pulse. K. State has the Mizzou win on their resume' so staying ahead of them would be great.
