For those who don't have the scoreboard size Wikipedia entry up on their 2nd monitor at all times, in case the Big 12 implodes and we end up in another conference, odds are good that we'll be moving up the list in our conference as to which school has the largest scoreboard.

If we end up in the Big East, we'll have the 2nd largest, right behind Pitt (Heinz Field).
If we end up in the Big 10, we'll have the 5th largest, behind Michigan, MN, NU, Indiana.
If we end up in the Pac-12, we'll have the 2nd largest, behind Arizona.
Needless to say, if we end up in a conference that isn't the ACC or SEC (besides the ones previously mentioned) we will dominate the video board wars and probably have to sell it to another school so as to pay our bills.

If there's such a stat as wins per square foot of video monitor, at least we know Indiana would keep us from being last.

Maybe that's why Jamie seems so confident, he knows we only have to whip it out Boogie Nights style.

I am glad we are finally going to get the ball rolling on this ****.

I see some Aggies are already working on becoming accustomed to life in the SEC:

It probably was 9-3 or 10-2, but they ask around, and if they know they have the votes it looks better to be 12-0.
They probably had multiple votes and then a resolution to pretend it was unanimous. No jars allowed.

Word is that Slive was given the go-ahead to discuss becoming the 14th member with Mizzou and WVU.

Either one would be good for us on the big east front. If mizzou goes, KSU\KU\ISU can slide into the existing Big East. If WVU goes, All 4 former north teams can slide in.

I would rather have Mizzou go. WVU leaving the Big East wouldn't be good for the conference.

The student section (and perhaps other sections) needs to be filled with masonry jars when A$M comes up to visit later this year...

And I would love for Mizzou to be irrelevant in football. Those d bags started this whole mess last year.

They were the first ones with public word, but there have been reports that Texas was making moves behind the scenes to kick off the PAC stuff, and Nebraska\TO was making moves for a long time to get a B10 invite.

Do you have link for that? Also, wouldn't it be crazy if both WVU and MU turned them down. I could definitely see MU turning them down to see if they can get into the PAC and relying on BE as a fall back plan. Not sure about WVU's stance on all this and what would prevent them from going SEC. When the BE signs their new TV contract it'll prolly be close to what the BE can offer with 14 teams splitting their pot so it really comes down to what the WVU administration uses to evaluate which is the "Better" conference for them.

Hearing the SEC vote to admit Texas A&M was 10-2 and that West Virginia is squarely on the SEC radar as a potential 14th member.
