I agree with this, as long as Dan Beebe is the commissioner. If we get someone like Larry Scott in there, the Big 12 could again rise.
This is a conference based right in the frickin middle of the country, with 2 of the top 5 football programs in the country. It can expand coast to coast if needed.
Instead we have this puppet of Texas leading the conference straight down the tubes.

At this point, I expect the Big 12 to die. Just to much going against the conference to survive this. God only knows where ISU ends up, but we'll be fine. I'm just more disappointed in everyone's avarice. College football is ruined.

Don't buy it. The divisions are obvious. Add BYU and AF to the old North, TCU to South.
Well, then I hope Jim Tabor is alive and well when the dust settles. I'd take that.
Only if Texas has zero interest in going to the Pac 12. There's no way Scott will take those four unless knowing for sure Texas is not at all interested in heading out west.
You would think Mizzou fans would know better than to get their hopes up after what happened with the Big Ten last summer
BTW...this was posted today at 5:30pm. Tabor is apparently a former OSU Baseball player and also played for the Diamondbacks. Hosts a show or something in OKC.

May be looking to balance power a bit better so we don't find ourselves in the same situation as before with a weak North.
All speculation of course.
There are literally dozens of schools out there that give you more than TCU does.
IMO, we should bite the bullet on money, and petition the Big East for membership if another Texas school is added.
Don't believe that for a minute...there are so many people trying to be the first to break this story, and no one else has said a word about those three in combination, let alone that its a done deal. I doubt that jim traber is the one guy with the inside info on all this.
I completely agree...just thought it would be something better to read than B12 teams fleeing for the P12.
