You can still play a round-robin in basketball. It would be a brutal schedule, but it would be awesome.

20 game conference schedule would certainly be brutal.

If we have an odd number of teams, we must have an even number of games.

You cannot have 11 teams play 9 conference games.

(OR)

11 teams w/ 8 conference games = 44 conference games + 44 non-conference

Tv partners should go with that.

That's interesting. I figured that TV wouldn't be okay with going to 8 conference games. Yes, there is more inventory for them to choose from, so in the end, I guess it'll mean a little less money per team. Which might not be a horrible thing.
