If BYU actually wanted to join with no strings attached, like every other conference member, that might be a good thing for the conference (but for the distance).
Of all the schools that left the Big 12, I miss CU the most because of that trip to the Rockies. Man, I loved that trip.
If there's anything to this business about the ACC football schools, I think the Big 12 should plumb that ACC interest before giving any serious thought to BYU (which is apparently the plan).
But BYU? No concessions? That would be intriguing.
I just can't see the LDS giving up game forfeiture though. They do forfeit with some regularity, according to BYU posters. That woman's rugby forfeiture in 2010 was actually a NC game. They've forfeited in the CWS a couple times in their history, too.
