What strikes me in this is that with all the reading I'm doing of WV fan blogs the Mountaineers are quickly becoming my second favorite team in the Big 12. Their fans seem like class acts. Gotta wait to see how they act during football season, but good first impression.

I agree with this too...I spend a lot of time on their scout site and they've been some of the most gracious fans. There's a lot of people from all over the Big 12 that hang out there.

Good Morning!
As promised, here it is:

Slive doesnt want to expand again so soon but CBS may force his hand. He is being told by CBS that they will be willing to nearly double the current contract if the SEC can successfully petition the NCAA for a semi-final round in their conference championship and add two more schools(one each in VA and NC).
UNC has become the SEC's main target. There is a ton of mutual interest.
ESPN would still have Tier2 for UNC but you can bet the farm that they do not want to lose the marquee basketball match-ups of UNC. take this article for example, you will understand why UNC is the most important school the ACC has in regards to television. http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/20...ketball-posts-its-most-watched-season/123450/tvbythenumbers.zap2it.c...-season/123450/
Also, by adding nearly 20 million people to their footprint, the SEC Network will quickly find it's footing.

I'm not 100% certain but it is very possible that Slive will make an announcement before we will if CBS and him can get everything on the same page

If there is any truth to this it'll be interesting to see how the Big 12 responds and if they're quick to go to 16 as well or just wait it out. I personally don't think they'll jump that quick to 16 but there will be some pretty good teams available that might be too hard to pass up.

So the SEC will once again play the part of the bad guy and the B12 can swoop in and still get the schools we wanted? Sounds good to me.

SEC quietly comes in for UNC & VPI

Then the Big 12 will the kill shot of FSU, CU, and (Fill in 3rd ACC team here).

Has the Big12 and SEC sanctioned a move to carve up the ACC as they signed for the Champions Bowl? Will Pac 12 take a couple of ACC teams? Will ND get off the fence while Rome burns? Will the Big Ten kick into expansion gear?

Will Pac 12 take a couple of ACC teams? I doubt it
Will ND get off the fence while Rome burns? Potentially
Will the Big Ten kick into expansion gear? Maybe

Those are the answers I received from the dentist. Pretty insightful dude.

I don't like the thought of Super Conferences and I can see them blowing apart in a few years as past rivalries are glorified and the alumni of schools like Texas wonder why they don't have a new championship trophy every other year.

....but Knappshack needs his football fix.
