The threes were sure ugly in the past two games, but tonight...and this has been a recipe for disaster all year...it was free throw shooting that literally cost the game. Missed so many at critical junctures and then can't get the resulting rebound. That was the ball game.

Nope. Everything cost us. Everything. Georges wouldn't stop shooting. Nothing fell. FTs sucked. Ejim made nothing. Rebounding. If it's an aspect of the basketball game, we did it poorly.

You're right. It wasn't the three that killed us, it was taking so many and not hitting them that killed us.

I'm not sure how you even pretend to make that argument. We shot very near our season average from the FT line, while going 4-25 from 3.

You're talking about wbb, right? Because if you're talking about mbb, you should continue watching wbb because you don't know what you're talking about otherwise.

I LOL'd. I know you've been saving the "FT shooting cost us the game" card, but this was the wrong game to use it.

So why has our three point shooting gotten so rotten all the sudden? What are we doing different, other than missing.

You're not going to win many games when your frontcourt shoots 26% from the field. That is beyond horrible. Take out the threes (which were bad) and they were still only shooting 33%. 33%! That is unbelievable.

Niang was 0 from 9 from behind the arc. Naz, our best 3 pt shooter, only had 2 FG attempts on the whole game.

That is not how this team made it to 14-0. Hope they can come together and get back to what made this team great @Texas.

Really? You call missing 12 free throws while the clock is stopped nothing? Missing two of three by Kane at the end? Not getting the rebound on all but two of the misses? Boy....some of you really need to study the game of basketball a bit more. The three may be glamorous but we had chance after chance with the hacking Jayhawks to close the gap at the line. We blew it. Shooting 64% is worse than any good high schooler makes.

The three is exactly what killed us and it has killed us the last two games along with allowing offensive rebounds

We shot WAY more FTs than we even deserved to IMO. The refs were being pretty kind to us.

Niang killed us big time tonight. I knew he was going to struggle defensively against Embiid, but I never thought I'd see him go 0-9 from 3 in a game in my life. He has to be feeling terrible right now. Most of them weren't really close to going in either. It was bad.

At some point I think you have to start passing it to someone else instead of throwing up more of those bricks. But hey, Fred always gives them the green light. It hurt us tonight though.

Sleep it off brother. We shoot our average from beyond the arc and we win by double digits.
Our AVERGE, nothing special and its a walk off win.
Try again.

We aren't calling it nothing we're just saying "it was free throw shooting that literally cost the game" as completely ridiculous. The game wasn't lost at the free throw line. Rebounding, bad shots, and yes I'll say it the refs didn't do us any favors (but not a key point).
