If the kids in the hospital would appreciate it, I'll do it hands down. If they won't care or know, then don't see a point.
Let me tell you, it'll be 100% the latter until after the fact because of our self serving society that wants attention.

The Greek system at ISU does a Dance Marathon each year. The money raised goes to support children at U of I Hospitals. This would be a great way to wave.Idea... Instead of waving, how about an effort to raise some money for the children's hospital prior to the game?
Could be something as simple as bringing spare change to donate on game day... "Change for Children" or something along those lines. If 50,000 fans each brought a quarter, that'd be $12,500.
Or could start a GoFundMe online if that'd be easier for everyone. "Cash for Kids" in that case.

No, there isn't a hospital to wave to. Great tradition they have started, but this would just be a way for them to continue their circlejerk when they are on a bye week.
Great now CWilly is on board with this stupid idea.
If we do the wave, then we should pass buckets during the wave to collect donations. Then this could become something with actual tangible benefits. I'm not too excited about doing this wave, but I could get on board if we one-up the Hawks and take it to another level. Then put helmet stickers or patches on their uniform that say "AHC".Idea...
