I think we should wave to the East at the children hospital at the end of the first quarter and at the end of the third quarter they should salute to the West to the only Heisman contender in the state

This is starting to gain traction among stupid people that follow Hawkeye Heaven on facebook. They're trying to rope their ISU fan friends into it.

You like the wave because I assume you care about kids. That is a good thing. But you took your name from Hunter Thompson. A broken man who was not good to kids. So either you don't actually care about kids (which I do not believe is true about you) or you do not know Hunter Thompson as well you think. Not trying to be an a-hole, but I do not tolerate the honoring and praise of scum like him because he was evil evil evil to children. People who make light of pedophilia and snuff films (as he often did through his entire career) are either awful comedians or are telling the truth.

God forgive me for feeling this way, but he deserved to die a long slow painful death. But no, that tough guy took the coward's route. I hope hell is a real place and I hope he is crying out for mercy that will never come.

Sorry to bring that toxic stuff up but it is hard to keep my opinions about that awful cancer of a man to myself.

Nice enough idea on the surface but if it actually comes to fruition is will come off as forced and half ass at best. I feel awful for the kids and their families for what they're going through, but I don't see how a bunch of people waving at the horizon 120 miles away is going to give any of them a real warm feeling inside and this isn't even an ISU vs Iowa thing for me. Maybe I'm just a cynic.

I love the super fast wave that takes seconds to go around.
We could just jump!
Flap like birds at the JayHawks?
Get a work out with Whacking arms work out (are we coordinated?)

I personally know several ISU families that are in the hospital. A few were shown on the features across the different channels. It’s transcending the rivalry at this point. I bet the ISU game is on tv there, but Most of those kids are not old enough nor do they care enough to pick sides. They just want to live.
