I seriously question this guys story of being a season ticket holder since 1987. Anyone that has been a Cyclone fan for that long should have had the EXACT same reaction as the OP did.

Pretty sure you'd be wrong. But I find it hilarious you doubt his length of season tickets only because he didn't react like a baby to a game that was still in process.

Everyone SHOULD have claimed the wheels were coming off and not to be found? Well, that is rather pathetic.

I already nominated for the 2015 clonies "worst thread of the year" award a few pages back. I think skidoosh has that award in the bag.

I don't do much right, but by god I stay the hell out of game threads!

I treat it like the game threads I used to frequent on the ESPN site: entertaining, mostly enjoyable for 2-3 days BEFORE the game. Rational posters from both sides. About 12-18 hours before kick-off/tip-off, the chest-thumpers & trolls arrived, and it degenerated into smack talk and "oh yeah? So's your old man" crap. Repetitive & pointless.

The other problem with game threads is that you could spend so much time reading & posting that you don't even watch the game. If it's at home, I'm usually there. If it's televised, I'm watching. Forget posting on a thread!

I post during commercial breaks, timeouts, monitor reviews, etc.

Yup. The OP was picture perfect overreaction/whining and trashing the team. Fair weather to the hilt.

Thanks for stopping by.

Shut up. It's pretty understandable that people would overreact after losing at home to Baylor, handing a victory to KSU, and then being blown out by OU at home.

Anyone that says they didn't have some negativity creeping in is lying.

It's almost like you're.....mad about it? Don't be mad, bro. It's not as bad as some people expected/wanted it to be. I know this site/talk radio/the webz is a lot more "exciting"/adrenaline filled when we're not winning every game or winning/losing in the way some people expect but don't be mad about it, bro.

That's why I don't normally post too much as the game is going on and normally until there is a break in the action to say something. Football game threads are much easier to post in since there is a decent amount of time to say something before the next play.

I have no idea what you're talking about.

I rarely if ever post during games and usually take a roughly 24 hiatus after a loss but it's silly to expect that some people aren't going to overreact when things aren't going well. I would describe myself as a pretty level headed poster, not an overly negative one. It's why I rarely post on football related topics (not much positive to say about that sport so why post?).

With that said, there are plenty of people acting like they're "superior" fans because they don't overreact (ISUFan22 as an example).

You may want to look up the definition of fanatic.

All fan bases do it. ISU needs more fanatics, not less. Everyone handles their sports related emotions differently. Some of the most die-hard, money donating ISU fans I know are also quick to want to jump off a bridge during losses, but just because they overreact, doesn't mean they don't come back around or are lesser fans.

I am very positive about this season and how it's turned out. I don't know how you couldn't be but that doesn't mean I don't go through wild emotional swings when we're down by 20 at home.

I remember those days. I mostly was on the baseball game conversations. Worse trolls there. Went through about 50 accounts in 2 years. I would get banned for saying stuff like "Go Brewers" because I ****** off a troll so he flagged every single one of my posts.

Nothing personal, I just didn't like the Brewers
