traipsing thru the treetops
I remember those days. I mostly was on the baseball game conversations. Worse trolls there. Went through about 50 accounts in 2 years. I would get banned for saying stuff like "Go Brewers" because I ****** off a troll so he flagged every single one of my posts.

We had two trolls that posted the same crap in every thread, football AND basketball. One was a KU fan that a bozo ISU troll named Bishop enraged on the KU threads, so he followed Bishop back to our threads and took up residence, and brought up Weatherwax and those stupid tweets against EJ & the other KU player every single post. The other was an "ISU" fan, who told every negative poster that he hoped they drowned, or they got leukemia (except he couldn't spell it), or cancer, or were killed in a car wreck, etc. We called him Cancer boy. I made a comment in a thread about oh goodie, here comes cancer boy and his buddy (whatever that guy's name was...variations on Chalmers). They hit me with a three day ban for "calling out other posters". Those flagging capabilities were a joke. ESPN never reviewed the impetus behind the flaggings.

I did a quick scan of posters, and admittedly there are a few I don't know in here, but I believe I'm the only female who posted in here. I may have missed someone, if so...apologies!

I read this thread after coming home from the game on Monday night, and made the post above. I don't really think it qualifies for "internet tough girl" posturing, does it? :)

I'm a 6'3" 300 lb. lesbian. Does that count?

I have no idea what you're talking about.

I rarely if ever post during games and usually take a roughly 24 hiatus after a loss but it's silly to expect that some people aren't going to overreact when things aren't going well. I would describe myself as a pretty level headed poster, not an overly negative one. It's why I rarely post on football related topics (not much positive to say about that sport so why post?).

With that said, there are plenty of people acting like they're "superior" fans because they don't overreact (ISUFan22 as an example).

You may want to look up the definition of fanatic.

All fan bases do it. ISU needs more fanatics, not less. Everyone handles their sports related emotions differently. Some of the most die-hard, money donating ISU fans I know are also quick to want to jump off a bridge during losses, but just because they overreact, doesn't mean they don't come back around or are lesser fans.

I am very positive about this season and how it's turned out. I don't know how you couldn't be but that doesn't mean I don't go through wild emotional swings when we're down by 20 at home.

"Loyal Sons Forever True." I don't necessarily think that overreacting fans are lesser fans, but they certainly deserve any criticism they receive for overreacting. It's the same reason I rip on my brother for giving up on the OSU game last year.

Don't even remind me of those idiots. I remember getting banned for posting in these exact words "Did Chalmers get banned yet" and minutes later I was banned for a day or 2 for asking that question, and while I was gone someone made an account and started talking about how he forces his secretary to do "certain things" to him to keep her job and managed to keep an account for close to a week. He was probably trolling but there isn't any reason why that should be allowed while I get banned for asking if someone is banned or not.

Every time I see thread title, I think "on the bus go round and round." Too many kids, too few remaining brain cells.:spinny:

I hope someone bumps this thread every day forever. Let it be a reminder (albeit at Skidoosh's expense, sorry Skidoosh!) to EVERYONE that the reason we watch and play games of any kind is not because it is a given that we'll win but because no matter who plays, even if it's KU vs Rutgers, we have no way of truly knowing the outcome of a game. It's the not knowing that makes the game fun. In the meantime, stay loyal to your team, and never give up.

You just never doubt Hoiball. To claim any team coached by Fred (and with the quality men he has in uniform) lacks heart or desire is criminal.

Go State!

Ahhh Cancer boy, and Chalmers. Those boards were a real testament to the level trolling can get to if unchecked.
