Overnighted in West Memphis on my first National Guard AT convoy. The armory we were to stay in was condemned, so a church put us up. Our shower facility was a few blocks away. They advised us not to travel in groups smaller than 5 or 6. I think they had the right idea.

Me and some friends were driving down to NOLA for Mardis Gras in college and we needed more booze (I know bad idea) we got lost in West Memphis. That is not a place to get lost in around midnight. We made it out alright but whoa not a place to end up lost in...

Ugh those damn ducks. Waited on the railing at peabody for 35 minutes to see those damn ducks, lots of hype for 2.5 seconds of ducks walking out of an elevator.

Yeah, its safe...don't go over to West Memphis, but downtown is as safe as anywhere you are going to go.
