Another reason to vote Trump

because he's gonna outlaw mexican chicks getting upset on twitter? Seriously though thats pathetic (the PC outrage). I wonder was she also offended by everybody that drank a margarita and ate at Cazador last night?

I saw Jaime's tweet this morning and was really interested to see what was sent out. Realizing it was this makes me just shake my head. Anyone is actually offended by this is going to have a rough time in life, but actually the person who was offended just likes to make headlines being offended.

For all the mockery of people who complained about this tweet, none other than Allen Lazard responded directly to Coach Campbell's tweet yesterday (the Three Amigos one) and said "chill with that" (I think those were his words, all tweets are gone now). Suggesting that he wasn't cool with it either.

I get that people can take the sensitivity to this stuff too far, and yet I'm also quite sure that a bunch of older white dudes on a message board have no standing to dictate to people of other cultures what they should and shouldn't be offended by.

You misinterpreted that. AL and Warren were both cool with it and thought it was funny.

I wonder if it was that idiot LUCHA group again that likes to whine about everything. They submitted some stupid open letter to the Iowa State Daily talking about white priviledge or some garbage like that.

After looking at their twitter.....

I feel stupid for even giving them attention on this website.

I really hope people flamed the **** out of them for the tweets about being offended at that. They must be absolutely exhausted at the end of the day with all the stuff out on social media for them to get offended about.

Yeah, you tell them what they should be offended by and what they shouldn't. Go get em!

That may well be, though "chill with that" doesn't really sound like a ringing endorsement. I was offline last night so if there were other replies I didn't see them and now it appears everything is gone.

My other point still stands. If there's a Hispanic kid on campus who thinks our coaching staff is mocking something that's important to his heritage, it's best to just stay away. I'm fairly neutral on the tweet myself but I would have advised them against it. Too many potential negatives for a few yuks.

Is it a holiday celebrating the 3 amigos?

So they were offended ISU coaches tweeted about a Holiday (Cinco de Mayo) that is not a real Mexican Holiday but celebrated by numerous Americans and American Businesses?

If I consider 5/6/16 to be Three Amigos Day is that ok?

when I celebrate Martin Luther King day, I usually throw on black face and celebrate the old plays back in the day. Usually get the wife to dress up as aunt Jemima. No one is ever offended.

Read carefully, the Three Amigos they are white guys and not Mexicans from a comedy movie. If they would have put the faces on images of a Mexican I would have agreed it was probably not in good taste.

Also Martin Luther King day is a REAL Holiday, Cinco de Mayo is not. http://www.nbcnews.com/news/latino/no-cinco-de-mayo-not-mexican-independence-day-here-s-n567041

So the celebration of cinco de mayo is about white guys putting on outrageous Mexican outfits?

also, are you really arguing that a celebration and holiday are that different? A REAL holiday? Oh my.
