I told my friends today when we started watching that this was in a way Prohm's first big chance to put his signature on the program and he definitely did not let it go to waste.

First chance for a huge win against a hated rival with a team he mostly recruited and brought together and exceeded expectations.

The ghost of Fred Hoiberg has been exorcised. This is his program now, totally. He coached one hell of a game, out-coaching even Bill Self.

As as aside, the suspensions and injuries brought this team together.

I don't recall ISU holding Kansas to that low a point total in a long time. And I still submit that he lost 5 seniors after his first year. The classes were so imbalanced it took him a couple of years to get things balanced back out.

This group of freshman and transfers is as exciting as any we have ever had. Then knowing NWB and Wigginton, Young and Lard were returning. Going to be a fun year.
