This isn't CSPs fault, it's CFHs fault

They also had three point shooters who were dangerous from 30 feet. I can remember the game at AFH that year, during the second-half comeback I can't remember if it was Nurse or Horton that hit a three from a spot that looked like it was closer to the halfcourt line than it was the three point line. We swept Kansas that year.

Ehh, they were decent averages. That team was a little deeper than most remember.

Hoiberg ran a country club program, as a way of keeping players happy and enticing transfers. The lack of defensive intensity is just startling.

McKay doesn't just complain after he gets 'fouled'. he complains about everything. If he played as hard as he complains he would be an All-American.

Nader is a total diva. Did you watch him in and around the huddles last night? He cares nothing for his teammates and he is completely disinterested in being coached. The only thing he cares about is launching a shot when he gets a touch.

McKay and Nader care about the team.

We are a few buckets made by us and/or missed by our opponents from Prohm being a Top 10 team.

Find it funny that people are blaming Hoiberg. Hoiberg left us a great foundation. We have lost some close games. That rests on CSP and the players. They need to play tougher defense and be tougher mentally. That is where we miss Naz the most. And we are missing Hogue more than people thought.

Not sure what the answer is with this team, but I hope chemistry is at least good. Hoiberg was always great with that. I know if the team is down on themselves or don't have good chemistry, it's going to be a painful season. Hopefully Hilton is rocking and the fans will continue to be behind this team. We need them positive.

Team can turn it around. Time for Prohm to show us he can lead us. Hoiberg left us some great talent. If Prohm is a great coach then he should be able to win with the talent we have. That is where "coaching " comes into play.

terrible pun alert.

hoiberg went and bought us a corvette on a loan he knew he'd never have to pay back. we were getting low on gas and instead of pulling off at the gas station he let us coast on fumes because he "didn't like to recruit". If you know you can't (or won't) make it to the next stop get out of the driver's seat and let someone else take control. don't wait until it's on empty and hope a quick game of chinese fire drill will save everything.

You've got to be joking right? Biggest bunch of horse **** revisionist history I have seen
He's pretty spot on. Quite a few of us saw the UAB loss (first round exit) indicators early in the season but were poopahed for thinking that. Last years team still lost (and played poorly) numerous times.

Well Prohm has been driving the Corvette since last June. He has had plenty of time to get us ready to go. What in the hell would Prohm do if he inherited a team whose best player was Diante Garrett and nothing else? That is what Fred started with.

He inherited an All American, maybe 2-3 all big 12 players. I dont feel bad for him, he isnt doing anything with this team. Prohm era will be ugly.
No offense to this particular poster, but I'm stopping right here, on all these threads.. Too much for me. Let the guy coach, and much more time play out. Although I love this site and Forum, it gets pretty old sometimes. I kind of long for the days without internet, when we couldn't post instantly , all our negativity (or over-optimism, for that matter).

You mean a Corvette body on a Taurus.

It's a Corvette without a spare tire (bench), just lost it's fuel injection (Naz), and has damage to its pistons (Monte's injuries).

I'd be happy with something way less flashy than a Corvette, just dependable.

What car is West Virginia's team? Not sure what they use in demolition derby.

greg also left him with ejim who was better than any underclass men Fred left.

Part of me thinks Fred knew the wheels were going to come off the bus this year. He knew no one was coming in to help. He knew naz was likely done. He knew he was having the heart surgery so he could interview for new jobs when he was recovery while ignoring his current job responsibilities.

And then he and/or his friends ****ed over the program with that dumb Hines article.

You try recruiting players by being honest and not promising them that you'll be there next year. This is NOT Hoiberg's fault.

Fred could have easily told recruits: "Iowa State is a great university. Ames, Iowa is a special place. It's a great community to raise my family. The Iowa State fans and Hilton make this one of the best programs in the country."

Wait, the above was only a soundbite for loyal Cyclone fans, not any potential recruits......
