Starting with the Texas Tech home game at the start of the conference season the other Big 12 teams have overplayed all of the cutting we do after our big man catches that high post pass. So our big has nowhere to go with it and none of them has any ability to make a face up jumper or attack the rim. It’s become painful to watch. TJ needed to come up with a different half court look a month ago.
With that said, I wish condit would look for his shot more. He seems to have a pretty decent shot he just seems to have zero confidence to shoot it. Free throws are hard to judge someone’s shot but looks pretty fluid with conditt

I think the bigger problem is this team is on the lower end of talent in the league. What they did great was buy in quickly and play hard at the beginning of the year. Their defensive tenacity got them lots of easy buckets plus they were cohesive while teams were still figuring out. Now you have plenty of film on how to stop us scoring and we don't have the talent to adjust while teams like Texas have tons of talent and a much higher ceiling and seem to be gelling.

I still think this is a good team and a tournament team. Last 8 games are much less daunting then the first part of our schedule. I think 4-4 is pretty realistic.

To me the automatic doubling on defense is not always necessary. Teams with enough offensive talent are going to take advantage of that constantly.
Agree. There are few big men in the league, if any, that will consistently score if you don't double team them. It doesn't seem necessary. Against smaller opponents it led to a lot of turnovers. It's not working as well now.
