Mizzou- 2 for 1 (played at mizzou last 2 years)
Wisconsin- not a home and home. More like a 3x at madison, 1x at milwaukee situation
Michigan state- not a regular series.
Indiana- not a regular series
OSU- not a regular series
Texas tech- 2 for 1. (played at TTU the last 2 years)

Care to play again?

And even then, how many have two of these regular series set up, like we do with Drake and UNI?

Just going by the premise of the OP: "It's time for Iowa State to only play this game at home, at Wells Fargo, or else not at all."

I don't think we should stop playing Drake, but maybe we should schedule them a little later in the season.

I can agree with this. We weren't prepared for their intensity. 100% our fault but this team needs a little gel time.

You guys seriously listen to Miller and Brinson? I mean they know their stuff, but they have the most annoying voices on the planet. I can't stand their voices.

I'm going to be harsh, but I don't care. This is a ridiculous thread.

All those who want to stop playing at Drake should get themselves a block of cheese to go with their whine.

North Carolina, as in #1 team in the nation North Carolina, played their 2nd game of the season AT North Carolina-Asheville, and I promise you that Asheville is a hell of a lot farther away from Chapel Hill than the 45 mintues from Ames to Des Moines.

Lose the sense of entitlement. Stop playing a road game 45 minutes away where half the fans are ISU fans anyway? You guys sound like a bunch of frackin' p*ssies.

I really hope this is sarcasm. There have been 500 threads made in the last 18 hours about the same thing.
This team has nobody near the level of Tinsley, Fizer, or Horton.

I'm not sure. I think Royce is close to dominant force Fizer was. Babb and Allen are similar to what Horton and Nurse provided. The key is this team doesn't have a Tinsley, Heck we don't even have a Garrett.

I love that we play the major instate teams. We should keep that tradition alive.

As for calling it a road game at Drake, though, I think that's very questionable. Half of that crowd was made up of Cyclone fans. It's a stretch to call it a real road game.

Lose the sense of entitlement.

Why??? ISU plays in a major basketball conference, which provides certain benefits. One of those benefits is that ISU doesn't have to give home/home series to mid-majors.

Stop playing a road game 45 minutes away where half the fans are ISU fans anyway? You guys sound like a bunch of frackin' p*ssies.

And you sound like somebody who is more concerned with pride than doing what is best for ISU. Is it better for ISU to play home games or road games? Is it better for ISU's fans to play in Hilton or Knapp? If ISU has the power to make the Drake game a home game every year, why shouldn't they do it?

This I agree with. At least have 4-5 games under your belt before you go playing an intrastate game on the road. When we lost to Drake in '99 it was also our second game of the year.

Drake had the luxury of spending their entire off-season pointing to that one game. ISU spent its entire off-season thinking about everyone BUT Drake. That's not an excuse, it's just a fact. I think if this game was played a week or ten days later you'd get a vastly different result.
