Tip of the hat, indeed...and it should be a hard hat. Great toughness. Rebounds, strips, steals, being physical, and poised and strong with the ball. You belong, Solomon. Also thought Jackson played a great game...another tough minded kid.

I agree that Young should play more, not smart enough to see the mistakes he makes, I just see the effort.

If you don't think he has good basketball instincts just watch the way he blocks out anyone from coming out from the baseline to Donovan's three in OT.

One of the things that make Solomon so valuable is that he knows and accepts his role. That's a very admirable trait for a D1 basketball player. He's not concerned about his future prospects, he just wants his team to win, even if it means he is not one of the main scorers.

Kudos to his efforts and continued progress. I hope what you say is true....well, because you know, that thread somebody started recently had me worried. Hope both he and Holden can contribute more and more down the stretch.

Fascinating to watch KU want to play Hoiball -- rain threes all day.

Self was always a pound-it-inside guy until now.

Not a bad match-up for us as a consequence.

Check out this shot chart. Looks like something Fred would love...

There were a few plays on the pick and roll where SY was wide open as he rolled to bucket..MM really needs to get him ball there and have confidence in him. Now with 3 minutes to go in that type of game sure I get it but first half get the big fella the ball couple times. He's starting to understand the defense and defending the pick and roll.

lastly, Holden man..that guy gets called for some really terrible calls honestly. There were 2 fouls yesterday against him where he didnt even touch his man really. He has been tagged as a fouler and its an easy out for officials. Don't get me wrong he commits some really dumb fouls but go back and watch, couple of those fouls were simply bad calls.
