Y'all owe UNI fans an apology for making fun of how we played for years. It's pretty fun when it's your team doing it, no?

:D:D:D:D:D

I’ve said that the way we play defense reminds me of all those frustrating games we had against UNI over the years. It is nice to be on the other end of it.
I never imagined we'd be this good but I could see some signs right away in the Oregon State game.

You could see the defensive effort that game but what impressed me the most was watching their off-the-ball movement on offense. Our passing looked extremely crisp guys were constantly moving and cutting. It was a welcome departure from watching Bolton dribble around and jack up stupid shots while the other 4 stood around.

Another thing I noticed right away is they seemed to have a high basktball IQ. They are constantly running their offense until they get the best shot possible. You just don't see alot of mindless chucking like when Prohm was here.

That OSU game was when I realized we had some good things with our defense. We had OSU out of sorts all night.

Though at that time my mentality was still, “okay, this will keep us in games and maybe pick someone off on the right night.” Didn’t foresee it being this much of a smashing success so far.

Question for you guys who know basketball. Why is Rasir Bolton not here, and is that a good thing?

Everything I've heard he would've been gone even if Prohm was still here (hold on I'm gonna be sick). He needed to be around an established culture, and is getting that in spades at Gonzaga.

He got tired of losing under Prohm. Transferred to Gonzaga. Bolton has talent. Not sure how he would mesh with our team. Would we have the same record if we gave minutes from Tyese, Brockington, and Gabe to Bolton? Would the team defense be as good?

Prohm was 8 & 0 to start his first season also :)

Yeah, they showed that stat last night during the game and I felt like they should've played the Debbie Downer wonk wonk wooooooonk sound effect when they showed it.

It was like, awwwww man...you're really killing the mood here...

With his head turned away from the ball and the passes zinging past his ears? No. I've never seen anybody as clueless about off-the-ball defense.

With as many players that left, quit, or got kicked off this team.... Not sure he would have made it into the season if he was buried on the bench because he couldn't play defense.

Not accurate in the least. He was completely okay with scoring 25 pts on a team that would go 10-20 as long as he could get his. He didn’t transfer because he wanted to….it was the option provided to him.

Bolton was a disaster and the main architect of the worst Power 5 team maybe ever.

Good riddance, we need players that actually want to be here, not players so bored that can't even get the ball over half court in 10 seconds with nobody guarding him.

TJ did an excellent job of trimming the Prohm fat right away. The guys more interested in shooting 20 times a game were shown the door and the guys who wanted to be part of a team were given a chance.

Jackson and Conditt have turned into fine players and even better teammates. It turns out they had it all long, just needed some coaching, a role, and some confidence.

I wonder if Hinson is regretting his decision to be a part of this now? He's probably had plenty of time to think about it as he's trying to walk-on at Mississippi Valley State.
