There's so much activity going on right now with the portal, early signing day, recruits flipping back and forth, the coaching carousel, etc., my guess is this guy is an insurance policy. Roster configuration has to be very tough with everything going on in college football right now.

He's not saying it's a good thing. He's saying it makes sense that it happens, even if it doesn't benefit us.
Using the phrase “Can’t complain too much” doesn’t fit what you’re saying, it implies happiness/good/bad, not logic. it makes sense a homeless man in Iowa freezes his balls off in a polar vortex, but I doubt he’s saying he can’t complain too much because of that.

Right, I agree. I was just trying to read between the lines. The poster's use of the word "complain" is just off. I think he's trying to say "it makes sense" Of course we can complain. But we can't we really blame.
