I don't think it will be too much of a problem. The visitors are almost always completely on the field before the home team comes out anyway. There shouldn't be any players running into each other.[/QUOTE]

How about when they are leaving the field at halftime and after the game?

The visitors jog off the field first following by the home team?

Or they run into each other. Who cares really? They are football players, they should at least be able to handle some contact if they are unable to go around other people without hitting them.

Seriously, I wonder how these players manage at the fair? A wake of destruction.

The fun comes after the game when we pull the upset storm the field and the opposing team has to walk through the crowd to get back to their locker room. Much like Nebraska 1993, I thought there was going to be some problems but the crowd, for the most part, parted and let the Husker out but they had to walk right through the heart of the celebration.

If the pictures are in reverse chronological order as it seems, then the exposed re-bar suggests that there are still more pieces to be put in place, but I don't see any other pieces sitting around to be installed.

I'm guessing they are going to pour the last portion in place instead of pre-building it like they did with the sections. Looking at the pics, it appears that the rebar is only along the sides and the bottom and none along the top. This would make sense with them pouring the remaining retaining wall for the hill.

Unfortunately the student section will not be able to view the tunnel due to the jacobson building. You can start to see the tunnel at the top of section 22ish. I'll post pictures if I get power restored.

Should be neat. Players have nice new lockeroom and can still get to the field to play so whats the big deal.

Will they Move the Honor Before Victory pillar over by the tunnel so the players can touch it or whatever they do.

I think it will work out great. Also gives the student section a nice opportunity to get after the opposing team before they go onto the field

Its time for these students to stand up and be counted.....Reminds me of my road trips to KU and KSU, not to bring up an ugly subject but Mizzou was a nother nice road trip for ME AND MY VAUNTED COWBELLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Could do with access to the field for emergency vehicles.

I'm not talking about taking the tunnel all the way to the Jake (though that would be cool). Rather I mean just punching a hole in the Jake so that the team can exit the tunnel, cross the sidewalk, and assemble in the basement of the Jake before coming onto the field (just like before). The rest of the time, they could just come in and go out the sidewalk to the tunnel.

Thus, the sidewalk would still be usable by the emergency vehicles.

Its FOOTBALL not a ballet. Oh no what happens if someone gets in their way or someone has to jog 20 yards further. These guys train like crazy all year, it wont phase them. As far as everyone on this board,20 yards extra sounds like a marathon

Hoping that they will continue to show the team walking toward the field on the scoreboard. But I'm wondering if this new set up will shorten that opportunity. Even so, I'm sure it'll all work out great for the gameday atmosphere, just very curious to see how it pans out in the end.

The walking to the field on the scoreboard is annoyingly long. "Hey, here's 10 minutes of the opening riff to "Smoke on the Water" while the team makes their 10 minute journey through the Jacobson Building!"

I like the walk but I agree it needs to be shorter. Fans are usually pumped at the end of the intro video but the long walk sort of kills the intensity.

Not a Nebraska fan, but their "Tunnel" walk and entry are done right. The entire walk, with a few twists and turns, is shown on the video boards and it gets the fans pumped.

Of course, their "tunnel" is just some hallways through their football offices - not a REAL tunnel like ours!

The "Tunnel Walk" might be the most overrated thing in the history of sports.

Unless it was ours, then it would rock.
