This team will only go as far as they want to value the basketball. I’ve never seen such a talented team be so careless with the ball. They aren’t even forced turnovers. They dribble with the ball away from their body or throw it away while jumping in the air. I don’t get it. If they have an early exit the writing was on the wall.

This huge turnover thing with Gilbert is new over the past month. It seems he is more hesitant and less aggressive...seems in between. Must be something mental and probably based on things the coaches have preached to him. I think if they can get in his head to make a minor adjustment, his turnovers will be cut in half overnight.

He's just getting into the lane and getting loose with the ball.
We've got to get that fixed. He's too good to continue this.

When a guard is aggressive with the ball going to the hoop there are gonna be turnovers but about 4 or 5 of gilberts turnovers every game are absolutely inexcusable. He drives the lane, gets stuck under the basket and then tries to make a crazy pass in a clogged lane to Jackson or Chatfield which is never going to end well. About 6 or 7 times a game one of our players tries to force a pass where there is absolutely nothing there. It's really hard to watch at times. Probably gonna be the reason for the end of our season unfortunately.

It's weird because for the first 1/2 to 2/3 of the season, we were one of the best teams in the country at not turning the ball over. Now it's a disaster every single game.

And the turnovers are becoming live ball turnovers.

A bad pass that goes out of bounds is bad but it at least allows the defense to get set.

Because we had so many live ball ones last night Arizona‘s fast break and free throw shooting allowed the game to get too close.

Gilbert didn’t see the floor after his crapshow in the second half.
He was REALLY pressing last night.

I think its tough to "let the game come to you" when so much of your game is driving into traffic to force the issue. Gonna need him to figure it out though. You can see how much he cares abt the team and how much he wants to do his part.

And he still plays great defense regardless.
