And then sued like the ***** he is.
That is exactly what I was going to say. Apparently he really didn't pay the price since he was going to sue the guy - he obviously didn't realize he did anything wrong when he sobered up and doubled down on his behavior.

Throwing ice aside, someone who continues to antagonizes someone while holding a filming cell phone in their face trying to elicit a reaction deserves to get clocked. If you are worried they are going to hit you, by all means film it. Maybe they will realize that they shouldn't - BUT KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT. But when you keep antagonizing someone and asking them "what are you going to do about it?" don't be surprised or hurt when they show you what they are going to do about it. After all, you asked.

Play stupid games; win stupid prizes.

Regarding CF and IE, etc. My roll with CF has not changed. My change from KXnO to IE (which 712 Media is a core owner of) actually frees me up for CF a ton. Instead of being in studio at least 15 hours per week, (along with 5-10 hours of prep), I'm on live 3 hours per week. I can do the business stuff when my kids are asleep. This has freed up a ton of time for me that is going back to CF. You just don't always see it as I am serving advertisers, developing the company, etc.

So...stupid question. Where do you get Iowa Everything? I'm not finding it in Google's podcast app.

I gave the Jorbo and Stanz pod a try this week since they had Georges on. Jorbo is a douche but he honestly presented himself really well in the pod, and gave some interesting stories from his time at Iowa. Thought his story about how they cried in the locker room after losing to Tennessee and then basically took all the NCAA memorabilia from the locker room and arena as a consolation prize was pretty funny. They were having a good civil chat, and then Georges comes in guns blazing and roasts Jorbo about his rigged games comment and Iowa losing last Saturday. Pretty good stuff, I'd have to say. Definitely will tune in after Iowa losses.

I listened to today. JoBo loves cursing. Every sentence seemed to have to have one in. I’m not a prude and sweat myself, just noticed it since it was so much.
I noticed this as well, and it wasn't just Jorbo. Stanz was dropping f-bombs too, as was Niang when he jumped in. No real skin off my back, but it is a bit grating when you aren't used to it. I listen to Pardon My Take from Barstool and there is constant cursing going on, but I feel like it kind of comes with their territory a bit. I associate Stanz with CF and KXNO so not really accustomed to hearing it from him, but not a big deal. Jorbo was almost too much though, for my palate.

I listened to all of them from last week mostly because it surrounded the Iowa State and Iowa game. Going forward I'll probably only listen to Bruns, Sage and CW. I assume a lot of Iowa fans will do the reverse and a small portion will listen to all of it.

It will be interesting to see how Jorbo demeanor progresses. If he can transition into a post-collegiate athlete that has a local radio presence, great. As it stands now, it has a bit too much of the 'high school athlete at the local bar vibe', self-perception being on the same level as Georges etc. for my taste.

The strictly Hawkeye shows I'll be avoiding for the most part, except for the John Miller recap show coming off losses. Something about his miserable self-deprecating show this past Sunday was just delicious

It'll be interesting to see how the content changes as sports seasons change. Basketball and Football overlap, so will there be more content or just longer content? Either way, I'm here for it. The growth they've all shown in just a few weeks has been pretty remarkable and I've really enjoyed listening to pretty much all the pods.

Miller's story on last podcast w CW about when Alford called him into CHA Michael Corleone style was great for any fan of the rivalry.

Basically tried to threaten him into giving up his source because his source was correct about Alford trying to get the Missouri job. Came up in context of all the Campbell rumors and how CMC seems like quite the different cat than Alford.

Not sure Bruns talking basketball will be as interesting.

It doesn't help having the negative opinion of him going into it, but man he comes off as someone who will be talking about the glory days at some hole in the wall bar in Marion 30 years from now. Georges hit him with a dagger and was being nice.

Honestly, I have some interest in Iowa football between growing up an Iowa fan, friends/family, the rivalry being so competitive with close games, Iowa's general consistency. Miller and Hassel are the best guys they could have possibly gotten to talk Iowa.

I'll probably tune out anything to do with Fran's team other than the week of that game. I don't hate them, it just holds absolutely no interest to me. For one thing there's even more of a nepotism issue than their football program, and besides that it's just the incredibly average toothless nature of the program under Fran.

The Iowa basketball program is unrecognizable vs what I grew up with in 80s and 90s unlike their football program. By the crowds I see/hear at Carver vs Kinnick I'm guessing a lot of their fans feel this way too. I'm also just more of a general college football fan vs college basketball where it's pretty much ISU only.

I think it has potential to be really good during basketball season as the pod matures

So far the combination Clone/Hawk pods like CW-Hassel, CW-Miller, Stanz-Bohannon have had a lot more Hawk talk than Clone talk. Probably because Iowa has a historically bad offense and is getting national attention for it. I just hope they don’t end up like sports media in Iowa overall which tends to believe the Hawk story is more important no matter what.
