How's that working for Rutgers? I get the point that people are making and frankly if forced to add members, there are worse options, but I don't see where the conference at this point needs UCF. They just had their best season in history and couldn't sniff the playoffs. They need the conference a heck of a lot more than the Big12 needs them.

Adding UCF is comparable to adding TCU. Elevating a G5 school in an area ISU recruits which makes it that much harder to get kids from that region.

I think you miss my point. They are the 2nd largest university in the country. In the middle of a top 50 market. With an unbeaten team. And ISU still outdrew them by 20k a game. They can toss out all the numbers they want...it doesn't matter if the people don't care.

This article is that of a wishful fan of UCF.

I would think if ESPN and Fox Regionals are now under the Disney umbrella, that means less money being spent on 1st, 2nd and 3rd tier rights. Thats a bad thing for UCF, Memphis, etc.

Off topic a bit, but do the mentioned schools lobbying the Big X11 for membership allow non-cognitive predictors to participate in their athletic programs? If they do, should the Big 12 change it's policy with respect to that issue to accommodate them? Just asking.
