The only thing the the team can take away from this game is that it can feel better about themselves. But from what I saw is that the team played the same vs Iowa and UNI (TO, penalties, ect). The outcome is different because UNLV is horrendous. Same performance vs an above average team small margin win. Same performance vs good teams you lose.

What mistakes on D did you see that makes you have that take? I agree somewhat offenses.

They lost focus in the third somewhat but that was probably due to them inserting different players by then. There was a targeting call that was overturned but should have stuck. Other than that they were lights out as usual. The mistakes that occurred were mostly on offense. They don't stand out much because of the opponent. They would have vs a better team.

They also did simple offensive things they haven’t so far.

I legitimately thought Breece ended that safety’s career. How his knee didn’t explode when Breece trucked him around the goal line in the first quarter. They guy was literally bent in half. The color commentators analysis was “Oh my God.”
Is there a video of this? I was coming back from riot fest and couldn't watch the game

To your point, despite clearly being more talented, it was 14-0 late in the 2nd quarter, with UNLV having the ball. That won’t cut it against any decent team.

What we did in the latter stages against a team with bad culture and quit isn’t that useful Imo.

Like every year, it was nice to see Manning slowly start to recognize what we do well. One would have hoped he would know Day1 given the returning starters.

If our defense plays the same and gives up 160 yards we will win a lot of games with an average offense.

Why should the targeting have stuck? I guess you know more than the replay officials.

I want to see more of Tampa/Purchase in general. I don’t think Young/Kyle are good enough to have secure spots over the two. Would like to see rotation continue.

Who is number 52 on the line again?

He had a few penalties he’ll need to clean up.

The increased pace for the offense was refreshing and needed. Brock mentioned in post game that was a focus this week. Hope we keep that going.

Still too many 1st down plays where we bring in the TEs, run between the tackles, it’s so obvious. Let’s mix in more play action or RPO on first.

Scates looked great, very fluid route running, was open all night. He looked like X out there (I know against weak secondary)

Enyi dominated. It was my first time seeing him in person, wow he’s a massive human.
