I dont have any that are bad, just weird. I was on a work trip in Florida a few years back; first night there wife and I are partying and I have an ISU shirt on - get in the elevator to the hotel room to call it a night and guy in the elevator makes it a point to tell me its a hawkeye state. I just say 'okay' and leave it at that as I'm drunk and tired and getting in a Cyhawk debate is the last thing in the world I'm interested in at this point.

I was at Sports Clips waiting for a haircut and doofus hawk fan wearing a "beat state" shirt was talking to gal cutting his hair about his favorite NFL team, the Packers. He mentions to her that Allen Lazard was from Urbandale and plays for the Packers. She had no idea who Lazard was and was surprised someone local was on the Packers. Doofus goes on for several minutes about what a great high school player he was and how he had risen to the top at Green Bay. Doofus didn't mention once that Lazard played at ISU. They really are a delusional bunch.

He may not know he did.

Probably about a decade ago my wife and I met up with my in-laws (who are Hawkeye fans) to watch the CyHawk game together at a bar in Iowa City. I don’t remember which bar. Some jackass threw a full beer at our table because we were clapping a little after ISU made a good play. Splashed all over us. At least the bar kicked the person out.

My father in law sent me the below text this morning bright and early. First his background: His- (2) kids graduated from UNI. (1) kid (my wife) graduated from Iowa State. (1) Son in law graduated from Loras. (1) Daughter in law graduated from University of MN at Duluth. (1) son in law (me) graduated from Iowa State. He currently has (2) grandkids enrolled at Iowa State. Both him and his wife entered the work force immediately upon graduating high school. The text read:

"I hate Iowa State. Go Hawks." I set the phone down and walked away.

It's remarkable how f*cking stupid some Iowa fans are. They'll insult anything associated with ISU. I had one tell me "Red and gold are stupid colors." I said, "Don't tell the United States Marine Corps..." Crickets from SuperHawk.

I must be the lucky one who's Hawkeye-loving family members are all pretty chill about it. Most of my Hawkeye co-workers are too. Now random Hawkers on the street, on the other hand, all think they're insult comics on gameday when they see an ISU shirt.

Response - "Your daughter has a great vag.'

I suppose you pick a team and stick with it, but hard to imagine 'hate' at this point.
Of course, maybe he's just a super troll and you're the target?

My parents in IC for the game the series renewed waaayy… back.

Blue Hair outside Kinnick when seeing my parents: “Oh look… they wear their school colors too.”

Encapsulates all these stories in one sentence.

My sister in law is nice enough except when it comes to Iowa. She always talks a lot of smack and rubs it in when Iowa wins or she thinks Iowa will win. But if Iowa State wins she arrives yelling, "I don't want to hear it, I don't want to hear it!" That is when we calmly tell her that we don't bring it up to gloat like she does. If you don't want to talk about it don't bring it up and we won't. But we expect the same courtesy.

My parents went to the game in IC when the rivalry renewed. My dad refuses to go back to Kinnick.

Sounds exactly like my cousins. Not one parent, grandparent, grandkid in the history of the family has ever gone to Iowa, been employed by Iowa but all raging howks.
