Boy that's a pretty shot for a 6'8" dude. Like others said, I see some Niang in him. Very skilled. Doesn't appear to be a super athlete, but 6'8" and skilled is rare. SWEET!! Hope he can pass and develop vision like Niang.
This reminds me why Xavier Foster was a high-4* near-5* despite the red flags regarding his focus and discipline and his low productivity against some low-level rural Iowa competition.
He was 7' and a freak athlete. Guys like that don't grow on trees. You give those measurables some benefit of the doubt and hope the concerns work themselves out with coaching and maturity.
Even if he flamed out in Ames and isn't making an impact at SMU.
Milan have/had the same approach on offense that Doug had (at that age). Best in face up jump game or with your back to the basket. I'd call their play style a stretch 4.
Niang was most lethal playing against other 5's on the 3-point line and driving on them. I'd call Niang's game a point or wing forward.
You are probably onto something there. Torvik assigns players positions based on their statistical profile, using the numbers to define their role rather than just simply assuming. Georges --
Wing forward seems to be the conclusion.
When Robert Jones shoots a free throw, I’m real confident he will miss. He’s shooting like 34%.
He needs to fix that. Otherwise there's going to be a lot of Hack-A-Jones against him.
