No mention of Purdue?
Zero defense. Weak backcourt.
Idk their matchups yet but they are super vulnerable.
Purdue would've been an upset favorite, but they drew pretty favorably IMO. I am considering picking Virginia Tech to upset them in round 2, but VaTech wouldn't be here without their improbable ACC run, and I really don't know enough about them to pick them.

Morning Rush is about the same. Heather is ISU all the way, but Travis and Sean are hosts of Hawkeye Soundoff.

Is Sean really that dumb, or is it an act? I don't listen much, but when I do Heather always seems mad at Sean (like at a Karen level) and Travis makes fun of everything he says. It's bad radio.

I was gonna pick Purdue, but they got a very favorable draw. Was hoping they would get an athletic team.

If you watch the big ten teams, most rely on one stud. That stud quite often is just hanging out on defense. Look at keagan, in the tourney, they had him stay in the lane and collect rebounds. How many times did you see him guarding anybody away from the lane. Get him to move on defense, or have a physical presence on him on defense and he will tire down. Then his 3s stop dropping and you take that away from him.

I was shocked at how many wide ass open threes Murray had against Purdue.

I might just be crazy enough to pick UCONN over Gonzaga.

UCONN has nine losses but look at the margin and who they're against:
  • Michigan State by 4
  • at West Virginia by 3
  • Providence by 3
  • at Seton Hall by 3
  • Creighton by 4
  • at Villanova by 11
  • at Xavier by 6
  • at Creighton by 2
  • vs Villanova by 3

SDSU has won 21 straight games. They'd scare the crap out of me if I were Providence.
Agreed but their defense is sooooooo so so so bad. So bad.

12th in offense is great.

220th in defense is not.

They gave up 104 to Alabama. Nearly 90 to an average Washington team. 98 to Idaho.

It's gonna be a close one but I think Providence wins late.

Seems like the trendy picks are Vermont over Arkansas and SDSU over Providence.

Which of course means the actual upsets will be something like UAB over Houston, Colgate over Wisconsin, or the one no one is picking....Richmond over Iowa.

Upset lines of note:
#4 Providence only 2 point favorite over #13 SDSU
#11 Michigan is -2.5 over #6 CSU
#10 Loyola is -1 over #7 OSU
#4 Arkansas only 5 point favorite over #13 Vermont
#10 San Fran -1.5 over #7 Murray St
#6 Texas only -1 over #11 VT
#7 USC only -1 over #10 Miami
Out of those, I took Loyola, San Francisco and Miami. Just for spice, I have New Mexico State beating UConn. I won't call Colorado State an upset since they are the higher seed.

Pick against the B10 and you’ll make money every March. No conference chokes year in and year out like they do.
