keith murphy is probably the closest to non-partisan on the show, but I still think he leans Hawk. The rest are Hawks, yes.

Morning Rush is about the same. Heather is ISU all the way, but Travis and Sean are hosts of Hawkeye Soundoff.

LSU has some big wins, including Kentucky, Tennessee, A&M, but lost to TCU. Beat Mizzou twice handily. They force a lot of turnovers, sounds like.

But they didn't play in the Big 12.

I do not trust Arkansas. Easy upset pick for me.
I don't understand that. Can you tell me why? They're my dark horse Elite 8 team and it was pretty easy.

Won 15 of their last 18 with losses being A&M, Alabama, and Tennessee. Those aren't bad losses at all.

Beat Kentucky
Beat Kansas State
Beat LSU three times
Beat Tennessee
Beat A&M

All of their metrics are strong too.

Just curious what why you don't trust them.

I watched them play OU and a couple of other games throughout the year. They have some high end talent, but seem to implode when hit with adversity. I also watched them play UNI early in the year. Both the UNI and OU games saw either a coach or a player get ejected. It’s happened more than those two games as well. They also really struggled to guard the 3 early in the year and don’t shoot the 3 well at all. Vermont is your classic mid-major that shoots the 3 well and doesn’t turn the ball over much. To me, Arkansas is ripe for the upset.

No mention of Purdue?
Zero defense. Weak backcourt.
Idk their matchups yet but they are super vulnerable.

The way I see it pick upsets against teams that aren’t that strong like Wisconsin. Even if you miss, they will probably go out the next round.
I'm a Montana state alum and fan. Wisconsin was the matchup i wanted, or even baylor in a 2-15 scenario. Didn't want any part of tech. I'll not be looking for an upset special in that one.

I agree. Purdue relied so much on shooting early in the season when they were rolling. As the season went on, they replied on Ivey to create the offense 1 on 1 rather than running an organized team offense. When he struggled, Purdue struggled. I don't trust them at all.

TBH, I don't trust any Big10 team this year. The top teams really fell off at the end of the year (which got the bottom teams into the tournament). Illinois seems to have the bodies to be a good team, but they don't seem well coached. Really, Iowa might have the best shot at a deep run yet I could see a matchup against a good perimeter defense to knock them out any time.

If you watch the big ten teams, most rely on one stud. That stud quite often is just hanging out on defense. Look at keagan, in the tourney, they had him stay in the lane and collect rebounds. How many times did you see him guarding anybody away from the lane. Get him to move on defense, or have a physical presence on him on defense and he will tire down. Then his 3s stop dropping and you take that away from him.

IMO, Tennessee is always highly rated and never goes anywhere. I would also love to see Chatt over Illinois because I'm sorta banking on another B1G flop this year.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen Tennessee play this good though. They are rolling.
