11 seed Michigan over 6 Colorado St. and then over 3 Tennessee to get to the Sweet 16.

I totally could see that happening.

U-M is seeded accurately at 11 line (in my opinion ... I know a bunch of people think Michigan shouldn't be in, but whatever)

Colorado State seems more likea 7 AND it's Indianapolis, so I'd give U-M a good shot vs. UTenn.

I can’t believe Michigan got in, but I like them over Colorado State.

I was seriously thinking about that one. SDSU is very solid.

Geez I'm envious of Iowa's path to a S16.. looks very manageable.

I think we win 1 and then bow out.
Iowa relied on other teams knocking out the higher seeds in the b10 tourney, to give them an easy path. They will need similar help in the NCAA to have any chance of advancing far.

Awful matchup for Colorado State. They struggle with length and athleticism and Michigan is going to run Dickinson and Diabate at them.

You also I believe need to stay away from a team that is under controversy getting into the field. Especially with Social Media being a way for these kids to find out what others think about their chances. In years past, those schools advance past the first round and maybe further. Plus I think the match-up favors Michigan which you alluded to.

Anyone have some outlier picks, or thinking of picking, in terms of pretty substantial upsets? I'm talking first round only and must be a 12 over 5 or bigger. 11/6, 10/7, 9/8 aren't upsets really these days...

I have loved Providence all year but man I think South Dakota State I could see winning and how ****** would that be because I think Iowa ROLLS Richmond by like 30.

I am close to pulling the trigger on New Mexico State over UCONN.

The one I really want to pick is Colgate over Wisconsin. I've said all year Wisconsin is playing with fire. Something like 15 wins are 6 points or less. Didn't play well down the stretch losing at home to Nebraska and early exit in Indy as well. Colgate has won 19 of their last 20 games...most of them blowouts. Gotta think about this more but I may do it.

Vermont over Arkansas seems trendy but I don't see it.

Anything is possible in the dance, but I’d avoid UCONN getting upset.

The way I see it pick upsets against teams that aren’t that strong like Wisconsin. Even if you miss, they will probably go out the next round.

I always like to bet against Rick Barnes so probably will have Tennessee losing in the opening weekend.

Is Iowa the surprise tournament conference champ that loses in the opening round?

Not exactly sure.
Haha, guy picking Iowa for the Final Four.

And how did Iowa get a 2 seed over the ISU women?
Apparently the mens and womens selection committee are quite different. The lady they interviewed said they really pay attention to how the teams play at the end of the season and their tournaments. Regular season wasn't as important apparently. Remember, we went into OT with Texas in the tourney, and they were just glowing about how Texas beat Baylor and played so great. It more appears that they look at the final scores and deduce what they want to.

Iowa ISU matchup in the Sweet 16 sure seems likely, and interesting. Both teams host the first 2 rounds.
