Not from the stands, but some gems from the Texas forums:

"The bottom line in general is that white coaches are just better coaches than black coaches. I believe with white coaches we have a better chance to win. Not that all white coaches are good nor all black coaches are inferior but I do believe in what I am saying. Give me the predominantly white coaching staff."

"I don't mind including black people in jobs that don't require a lot of responsibility. But this job is the head coach of the most prestigious football program in America"

"The black coach experiment has failed"

Yikes.

Says the guy with hawk in his loginID posting on an ISU forum?
Like I said I pull for Clones. Not hiding fact I am Hawk fan. I very seldom post in this forum because I know matter what I post it will be criticized. I have been following Clones since Majors era.

Was on cannon crew last night, and there's this guy (assumed hammered) that sat in the club close to the field who would not stop yelling at us to fire it off, regardless of the situation on the field.

While tailgating two gals just stopped dropped their pants, squatted and relieved themselves on the 7th hole bunker on the Clearwater coarse. Couple of guys taking cell phone pics like crazy. Gals didn't seem to mind.
Stop. Drop. Squat. Relieve. Sounds like a nuclear fire drill.

A guy in section 13 yelled at the Texas team right after the game when they were doing their postgame thing by their fans and band , " How in the hell did you beat Oklahoma?", and, "You just got shutout by Iowa State!" Also same section, several guys were all over their punter when the Texas punter missed the kicking net while practicing and the ball bounced way out onto the field. He was clearly bothered by it.

Re: Voices from the stands: Texas game

After the game as we were leaving there was a Texas fan smacking back and forth with an ISU fan and the Texas fan said "Just wait until basketball, we're going to kick your "butt". There's a new man in town."

My instant comment was "Wow, how far has Texas football fallen that their fan base is talking smack to an ISU fan about basketball?"

Times are a changing and I LIKE IT..........horns down. #proudtobeacyclone

Re: Voices from the stands: Texas game

When Richardson came in for his one play most people grumbled or said, "Just run it!"

The guy behind me yelled "PUNT IT!" LOL

Re: Voices from the stands: Texas game

A group sitting near me was adamant we should have been running the clock out EVERY PLAY from the beginning of the 4th quarter. It became awfully annoying.

Just run your offense guys! I thought we did a great job.

Another one from the forums

If they gave us a touchdown every time we crossed the 50 yard line in this game, Iowa State still wins by double digits.

The guy above yelled that the Texas cheerleaders could put on a better offense.

Reading this thread reminds me of how much better my Saturday's are watching/listening from home than going to the games. Our annoying whiney fans ****** me off more than the team.

After the 2 or 3 passes we should have intercepted..."Most kids grow up wanting to be WR's. What you just saw there is why they became DB's".

Not a real fan.

Season tickets since I was a student at ISU ('80) until 5 years ago. It finally got to the point where I absolutely hated sitting there listening to some of the dumbest comments and complaints from some of the most football ignorant fans around. It was like an in-person version of a coaches call-in show.
