I agree the episode was pretty drab. But they had to show some sort of back story or people would be clamoring about what he had been doing since last season.

It was slower than normal, but I actually enjoyed seeing what he has been doing. I haven't decided if he hates himself for what he did or if he is still plotting vengeance on Michone. I think he really is having a hard time dealing with what he has become. He dumped the Spaghetti-o's and then proceeded to eat what looked like cat food, he folded himself out of the picture of his family and then later burned that picture, he let the family take his gun and then could have easily taken it back when she set it on the table in front of him.

I'm curious to see where they are taking his character.

On Talking Dead, the actor that plays the Gov. said he was on a no carb diet.

The thing that bothered me the most about the episode was that he was able to kill a walker by ripping its throat out. A throat is not a brain.

Well I would assume its similar to beheading it. The head was probably still alive, but that much damage to the neck probably made the walker unable to use its body.

That walker wasnt dead. He went back to it and ripped the top part of his head off with the bone.

Governor got lucky in that pit. Imagine if the horde was still after him and they all fell in. Lucky one eyed bastard.

They could have covered that entire backstory Gov episode with a 5 minute part of the show between commercial breaks. "Hey, the Gov went off on his own for a few months, found a family, killed some walkers, then ran away, fell in a hole, and reunited with his former Lt. Now, back to the real show."

Agree with all of this. By far the best "boring" episode of the series, imo. Some of those turds at the farm were just brutal.

Just one persons opinion but I really like the way they developed Carol and I really like Brian Heriot. I think it would be pretty cool if he did go legit.

I am still mad about how boring last night's episode was. I missed the 8pm show, so waited until the 10pm encore. BAD DECISION! I would not need to have seen any of that episode to follow subsequent ones.

I thought it was an ok episode. Was flipping during commercials to the Chiefs vs Broncos game. The governor will be an interesting guy. If he is actually taking those three women to the prison, would Rick and the others allow the governor in? I mean, you still have the Carol issue and this guy has been trying to take over the prison since they have known him.

If a person finds redemption, do we forgive them or are their past misdeeds too much to change our viewpoint of them? That's where I think this thing is going. I cannot see him staging another prison attack.

I was happy to get away from the prison group for a while. I was thinking Carol was going to find him, but liked the storyline he is taking. The character had me on the edge of my seat just waiting for him to do something crazy.

Still think that the main characters need to be showing more initiative/ambition at the prison.

Hmmm, I assumed that the Lt told the girls what a nice guy the Gov was and they left. Then he's back to being a **** and gonna try to sabotage the prison somehow. I assumed he's the one that's been causing the walkers to pile in to the fence in a single location.
