Damn...I did not see that one coming. I thought Glen was in it for the long haul, which is ironic considering the show is in it's 6th season.

Despite moments like we had tonight, I still enjoy this show, but I'm really finding myself wondering where it's going, and no, I haven't read the graphic novels at all, but Alexandria isn't so sustainable anymore and it's already small population is dropping like flies at an alarming rate. There has to be more to the story than just a group of people continuing to survive episode after episode by the skin of their teeth.

DIsclaimer: I have not read the comics...but I have discussed the show with people that have.

The thing with these comic book spoilers is this: from what I understand, the show diverged from the story line oft he comics a couple of seasons back...so what people know from the comics may not prove true in the show.

Glenn survives. Go back and watch again. The other dude lands on top of him, and those are his guts. Glenn then slides under the dumpster. Or that's what I think will end up happening.
I could see that happening. But I'm hoping it doesn't.

I was ****** that he went down, but at this point moving forward I'm hoping he is dead. Just to show nobody is same from the main cast. Watching the talking dead, it's hard to say though.

This is true to some extent, though I believe the creator of the comic and the show has said they were working towards lining the show up more with the comics after the prison/governor storyline ended. From what I've seen since them, it looks like they are getting there, but that the fate of characters isn't tied to the same fate as the comic.

So they just showed the scene again on the repeat. Nicholas has a green shirt on and Glenn has a gray shirt. Its very clear the walkers tear into a gray shirt. Not looking good IMO.

Watched the episode via DVR as usual. I think Glen is going to make it...at least for while. :) As I am typing this I have watched the 'death scene' several times. I am having trouble determining the color of the shirt getting torn open. One thing I did notice is when the camera is showing from above you can start to see Glen doing the shimey going under the dumpster. I think he will make it somehow.

Why would the zombies eat Nicolas, he was dead when he blew his brains out? I though zombies only ate the living and stopped when they died.

I also watched on DVR....frame by frame. When you first see major blood, it's hard to tell if it's Nicholas or Glenn. They then do a POV (point of view) shot of what Glenn is seeing of the walkers. They then go back to Glenn's face. It's that second shot that has me convinced Glenn is gone. It sure looks like the left side of his shirt by the neck is torn. I did see the "shimmying" in the overhead shot, and then it looks like they purposely had an extra move their arm to cover Glenn entirely.

I do appreciate the "night vision" reaction shot of the audience when Glenn..."died"?

Sturgess sure was dead, and they were still eating on him.

Idk I think I disagree with you. I think they are originally tearing into the body on top of Glen. There seems to be enough depth that they haven't got to Glen's body, yet. And agree with poster below that it looks like he starts squirmishing under the dumpster

Are you sure he was dead and just not in shock while he was being eaten. Most creatures enter a state of shock and stop moving screaming when being eaten. (basing this on some vague memory of seeing a zebra eaten by a lion on tv and the narrator explaining it. You could see the zebra still breathing/blinking while its entrails were being ripped/eaten from its body.)

I watched that about 20 times. Loved seeing everybody's reaction. It looked like some 50 year old guy started crying.

Man.....
It would explain why the show creator spoiled the comic book death of Glenn on @midnight a couple weeks back. Don't listen to it for fear of possible spoilers of what's to come.

Kinda. It's very different but the show gets to the same spot as the comics just in very different routes. They switch story arches for characters and change names, but it's generally the same.

I will be extremely disappointed if Glenn is alive. It's the first time in a long time that I was genuinely shocked with the show and plus it would be completely ridiculous for someone to escape that.

I agree with this 100%. Glenn is a kick *** character and it will suck major balls if he's dead and not part of the group. But if the writers whip up some magic trick and have him somehow get out of that situation it will be the ultimate jump the shark moment.

Did that walker bite or scratch Rick?

Don't think so?

I thought he cut himself when his knife broke.

That's what I'm trying to figure out. Or if he accidentally cut himself when the knife broke.
There was a walker with a machete sticking out of his chest. When Rick went to kill the three zombies lunching on that dude, he put his hand on the zombie's chest to keep him away while he used his other hand to stab it in the head. That is how he got cut, from the machete blade sticking out of that zombie's chest/shoulder.
