Yea. Lori's 'the men are handling the zombies' was definitely cringeworthy, but Andrea was ******* me off too.
It was a combination of awful dialogue, bad acting, and unrealistic behavior. Those things are all too common in this show.
I did really like the Shane and Rick half of the show though. Great stuff.

I agree with everything here. Some parts I greatly enjoy then there are scenes like the one with Andrea and Lorie that I can't even watch.
That scene with Lori and Andrea arguing in the kitchen reminded me of some POS daytime soap opera.

Did you notice Shane with his reflection in the broken window (after he threw the large wrench), he looked like a zombie. I thought that was a great shot.

This episode was great, some stuff they like you to think about like the reflection I mentioned, the lone wandering zombie and then they just come right out and say stuff like Rick and say there are no rules anymore. The no more rules applies even to those thatt would have been 'good people' in the normal world.

I agree with you. The shot of Shane with the broken glass was great.

I kind of enjoyed Andrea telling Lorie off a little since Lorie really is in a different situation than almost everyone else in the group. But I don't really see what was so unrealistic about it. I've said before that I'm pretty sensitive to unrealistic behavior in movies and tv shows and I didn't get that feeling. You shouldn't expect to see the same kind of behavior as you would see from people who aren't in a zombie apocalypse. It's a completely different ballgame and I'm willing to give the writers some leeway as far as how different types of people respond to these situations.

***Spoiler from comics***

There are 3 elements from the comics that could take this thing to the next level fast. Hopefully they do them all before the show ends or gets canceled. 1. Governor 2. the prison 3. Michonne

Frankly they loitered at the farm longer than I'd have liked and would be on their way to these things already if I were calling the shots.

Unlike Game of Thrones the coolest parts of Walking Dead don't necessarily ramp up the production cost.

Andrea continues to be the biggest (and sometimes only) letdown between the series and comics. She's the second strongest person mentally and physically behind Rick in the comics, and she's in her early/mid 20s like Glen, not middle aged. Dale is a little stronger in the comics too, but overall he's pretty accurate. Everybody goes through their "crazy time" but overall Andrea was a kick @$$ and take names zombie killer.

One of the EPs said on "The Talking Dead" a few weeks ago that the season finale won't disappoint. They keep showing a clip in the commercials of a zombie horde breaking through some fences. I'm wondering if the farm gets overrun in the last episode. they get pushed off of the farm and stumble on the prison.

I like the allusion they just had in that last scene (SPOILERS............ when Shane and Rick are all "Yeah, it must be scratches" for the dead people who weren't bitten) - a big development is coming soon and that's a clue I bet.

I haven't read the comics but I assume this piggybacks on Rick double-tapping the fatty in the bar. Rick has an idea or knows (CDC) that everyone that dies goes zombie. I'm not sure how this impacts the story beyond making sure that anyone who dies, whatever the circumstances should get a bullet in the brain.

I suppose the biggest impact would be that ANY survivors would not be welcome amongst survivors who are completely uninfected and know it (scientists/military). In that regard Rick's people could discover that the IS NO safe place to go. That even if Fort Benning (or any other base) were safe they wouldn't be welcome there...

I'm thinking the whole scratches thing will end up being a big deal.

If it was, there'd be no one in this group of survivors left alive. A bunch of them covered themselves in zombie guts in Atlanta, Rick & the redneck gutted one in the woods, and they've all touched or moved zombies without gloves on. If the virus is transmittable by bodily fluids - they're already screwed due to the handling that they've done with the dead.

Just looked at the spoiler. Semi-spoiler ahead (kind of)........ it really doesn't surprise me and shouldn't surprise anyone familiar with Walking Dead. Not nearly as much of a shocker as the mid-season one.

Yeah. There's another spoiler out there though that is more surprising. Some big stuff these last few episodes.
