It will be fun to watch some of these young guys step up. Graduating some elite leaders in some of the position groups, need elite replacements.

Good stuff. Man it’s fun to be this excited about next year.

Not sure about Mike Warren over Croney though. Pretty obvious Croney was the #2 back this year.

This is probably a dumb question, but will we stay with the three-man front on D for the long-term, or was that just a band-aid targeted for the specific personnel we had this season?

Really wonder how many guys get signed in February and who will transfer. (Someone will, they always do). Be nice to have a grad transfer QB and OL.

Band aid? That was an elite defense. I would imagine ISU will rotate back and forth between 3 and 4 man depending on the situation. A 3-3-5 defense is absolutely perfect for wide open spread attacks, but it requires a high level of precision and personal responsibility to run.

Peavy needs to come back.

Also, we will obviously miss Lazard, but if Chase Allen can get up around 250 and become a reliable 3rd down target, we will be in great shape in the passing game. I have a lot of faith in Zeb too.

Am I the only one that loves watching Seonbuchner hit?? Guy is a stud

Something feels weird about that interior OL. Here's heights and weights from cyclones.com

-LG-
Robert Hudson 6'6" 350 lbs
Oge Udeogu 6'3" 317 lbs

-C-
Julian Good-Boy Jones 6'5" 293 lbs
Will Windham 6'3" 307 lbs

-RG-
Josh Knipfel 6'5" 317 lbs
Josh Mueller 6'6" 309 lbs

That's a pretty tall interior. Went back and checked a Toledo 2015 depth chart and it's very similar, 6'6" guards with a 6'4" center. Clearly its a Campbell height threshold by design thing. I'd be curious to go back and see how they fared against smaller DLs. I feel like a smaller DLinemen like Demond Tucker could use his lower center of gravity to out leverage taller dudes.

Using NFL's mockdraftable aggregate data the average interior linemen is about 6'3" so this is probably nothing major. At first I used 247s numbers which are an inch or two higher than cyclones.com

Really hoping the run blocking improves next year. David Montgomery deserves some holes.

I’ve never heard a reason, but why doesn’t Campos try for a medical redshirt?
Heard is ready to move on with life. OL puts alot of wear & tear on a body. Tired of being beat up all the time.
