ISU deserved an 8 seed but did not get a favorable draw. We will have our hands full inside with Drummond and Oriakhi. Time to step up! GO CLONES!!!!

I'd tke Purdue's #10 seed over what we got. Worst #8 seed in the tourney.

I love how they are saying that MSU had a tougher non-conference lineup vs. Mizzou... They LOST their two toughest games there... Mizzou beat Ill and Ill beat MSU. Where do they get their logic?

If you want to be the best you have to beat the best. This maybe good for this team, they know they will have to bring their A game. Yes it sucks but you have to play the cards you are delt. The thing that sucks is KSU got the same seed and Baylor got such a higher one.

Someone should email JP and see if he could renegotiate a better draw.

This is our players and coaches fault. They deserve this by losing to texas

So we were No. 25 going into the Big 12 and we are essentially no. 32 in the tourney. People think losing one game to a tourney team should drop us 7 spots in the overall rankings? I don't buy it. Yeah we didn't help ourselves in KC but being the third best team in the Big 12 over the course of the season should hold some weight.

ISU lost that one tourney game to an unranked, 6th seeded team. Would that drop ISU 7 spots in the rankings? Hell yes.

Here is what happened: The powers that be realized that if they over value non-conference games they can increase TV revenue by forcing teams to schedule tougher opponents (creating more watchable games). This was seeding with an agenda.

We finish 3rd and get a 8 seed.

Baylor finishes 4th and gets a 3

KSU finishes 5th and gets a better 8 than us.

We did in fact get hosed. Conference games are more important. That is why they have a special distinction.

To be a big dog you got to beat a big dog, UCONN is a bad three point defensive team. Go Clones you have to show up and play tough!!!

Drive the ball to the hoop hard and get their bigs in foul trouble early, Royce needs to be a ******* monster and Ejim needs to be one to. Put Babb on Lamb and let him eat his lunch. This is doable and everyone is going to pick ISU so more reason for ISU to be very hungry.

It was made clear several times that conference standings are meaningless. Total wins, RPI, SOS, road wins etc are want count

the logic is crappy on seeding, "we will reward you for playing tougher non-con games. So how are the little guys going to be able to work up in this? No good teams are going to want to give any smaller schools a chance. Its all about the money IMO. This was seeding to make it less likely to get smaller schools in the future. I'm betting several schools that get paid to go places like IC and Ames are going to have a much tougher time making the budgets work.
