It was made clear several times that conference standings are meaningless. Total wins, RPI, SOS, road wins etc are want count
I disagree with the people that made that decision. Conference standings should matter. The do in every other league.

the logic is crappy on seeding, "we will reward you for playing tougher non-con games. So how are the little guys going to be able to work up in this? No good teams are going to want to give any smaller schools a chance. Its all about the money IMO. This was seeding to make it less likely to get smaller schools in the future. I'm betting several schools that get paid to go places like IC and Ames are going to have a much tougher time making the budgets work.
I'm just really happy we're in but **** it, let's shock the world.
You need to beat a higher seed to shock the world.
Actually that is exactly what happened. our RPI is 32 as of today, which is right where the placed usSo we were No. 25 going into the Big 12 and we are essentially no. 32 in the tourney. People think losing one game to a tourney team should drop us 7 spots in the overall rankings? I don't buy it. Yeah we didn't help ourselves in KC but being the third best team in the Big 12 over the course of the season should hold some weight.
Being that we're the 8 seed in the region w/ the #1 overall seed, does that mean we were the "top" 8 seed or the "bottom" 8 seed? Or does that even matter
I'd tke Purdue's #10 seed over what we got. Worst #8 seed in the tourney.
Yeah, we would shock the world if we beat the defending national champs and UK.
Dumb ***
the biggest hosing is 27-7 michigan state getting the 1 seed over 30-4 mizzou
Amen brother. To to whining ****** in this thread shut the **** up. We are actually in the tourney who cares the about the draw. Pretty funny that Dougie and Harrison will meet in the 2nd round. Go Jays at least against UNC!
