No snow yet in Des Moines. Kinda just sleeting/freezing rain still.
Looks like straight snow here in Ankeny. Probably better than starting with ice.

Yes the mbb. I prefer being there is person.
Looks like Ames revised lower on WHO to around 1.5 inches and nothing on Saturday.
Freudian typos for the win...entirely appropriate in this case. Many asses on ze interenets.Disappointing. Because of the MBB forum I was pulling for at least 24" of snow that might knockout internet assess in the entire State. And than some earthquakes. Yeah, earthquakes would be a good finishing touch.![]()

Couple inches of snow on top of some ice on the north side of CR. Only supposed to get another inch or so today as it has shifted back east. Somewhat disappointed but oh well.
Just do double duty...problem solved!Algona now in 2-3". Dammit. When we get snow, I want 8-10" (as does my wife...), not a piddly few inches (what she actually gets...)
One of the biggest lessons most freshman learn their first winter at college. Only underclassmen wander central campus without a coat and hat/hood when it gets cold.My daughters have lockers big enough for a coat, but the dumb asses won’t wear one no matter how much we tell them too. Teenagers are dumb, Brother.

We manly got rain, freezing rain and ice, down here along the Missouri border. Maybe a tenth of an inch of snow on top of that.
How do you go from on Wed 4 inches, Thurs. 8+, Friday morning 9 or more, to it being all rain, and little snow? Guess the front moved, the temp stayed a little higher than expected and now we have an icy mess.
