I had a black and decker weed trimmer for a while . What a turd, wouldn't even cut grass over 6 inches . Went in the trash after re battery would only last ten minutes . Not that hard to mix gas when you live on an acreage and alll your two cycle tools use the same mix . Sure electric is bad ass for your small lawns but if your in any rural setting you couldn't pay me to take one .
I think that's kind of the point here. There are obviously markets for both! I just bought a new house with like a .25 acre lawn. My old Lawn mower died, so I bought a greenworks pro 80v self propelled mower this week to pair with my Greenworks pro 80v electric snowblower! Haven't even had a chance to use the mower yet!
But..for my little lawn, I can get this mower that I can fold up and stand on end for more room in my garage. In addition, I have a Ryobi 40v trimmer (I bought before I went greenworks for the other small tools) and I'm thinking about buying a Greenworks pro 80v Blower as well!
For an acreage though...I def understand gas powered...especially if all your other small engine tools can run the same 2 cycle mixture. Much easier.
