Yes, and the CFP is a poll.

And this is their first poll, the coaches and AP poll come out preseason, the CFP poll has actual results to work with prior to their first poll. So for the third time, what is the most impressive thing to you about Ohio St's resume? I bet it was their fourth quarter escape against Indiana.

Huh? The AP and Coaches poll come out every week and have actual results to work with. Apparently you feel they have not adjusted Ohio State correctly.

No worries, I think the OP was trolling anyway. But if you think Ohio State will not be in the top 4, guess we will just see.

I'd be shocked to see Ohio State at #1 and wouldn't be at all surprised to see them well outside of the top four. I think this for the same reason I don't expect to see a Big XII team in the top four and for the same reason I think Iowa might. Because the CFP ranks on resume (though how they define that varies) and Ohio State hasn't played anybody yet, just like Baylor, TCU, and Oklahoma State haven't.

Time for some rankings. Just remember the top four in the first ranking from last year:

1. Mississippi State
2. Florida State
3. Auburn
4. Ole Miss

Only one of those teams ended up making it in.

I am shocked - SHOCKED - that both Herbstreit and Galloway have Ohio State at #1. Where did they go to school again?

Tom Herman's Houston rolls in at #25. Toledo also ranked.

Northwestern is #21, could be good news for Iowa.

Iowa is #9. TCU is #8.

Iowa is the second-worst ranked undefeated Power 5 school (Okie State at #14 behind them).
