The Westworld staff knows it too. The one man said ~"That guy. He gets whatever he wants." So they are aware of what he is doing and that he is searching for "the maze" but they must not care???

He told Evan Rachel Wood (the first bot), "You and I have been doing this for 30 years".

There's a groundhog day dynamic to this, he's probably "killed" them all multiple times.

The search for a "deeper game" may just be a smokescreen.

At this point I'll shut up, not really a fan of spoiler speculation.

I noticed the two new guests entering the park in ep 2 - one grabbed a white hat and one grabbed a black hat. Seems to be a good and evil thing going on because the guy with the white hat seems to the "good guy".

I wonder if that was influenced by JJ Abrams at all. He likes symbolism in his shows quite a bit. He did it with Lost as well with the Backgammon game, two sides, light and dark.

Not a spoiler, but speculation...

Ford and Lowe consider sabotage as reason for host fail. Then Delores finds a gun buried in the yard, which I am assuming is a real gun from the real world that can kill guests. Any guess on who the insider might be?

I had the thought when Lowe was sleeping with Cullen that Lowe could be a robot that Ford made to carry on his work, and no one else knows. His side chats with Delores are suspicious. Or maybe he is real, but sympathetic to the plight of the hosts.

That one's been out there since the beginning.

I saw an interview with Ed Harris and he says upcoming episodes have segments about his wife and family.

I did not see that direction being taken.

Sure glad they rebooted this thing and got it right (so far).

There was a bad movie called Vice starring Bruce Willis that was similar to this. In that movie the hosts also started retaining memories after having been wiped on a daily basis.
Maybe that was a theme in the original Westworld but I can't remember. About all I remember from that was how awesome Yul Brenner was.

Yeah, when I said rebooted I wasn't being clear.

They basically shut down production of this and started over, very expensive I'm sure but so far, so good.

You'd expect better than a forty year old movie.

Also, when the guest was suiting up to enter the game, he asked the assistant if she was real and she skirted the question. If she is one of the hosts (which I assume), how many more exclusives are there on the outside of the game? How can they tell who is real and who isnt.

"If you can't tell, does it matter?" - That's some deep ****.

Thought about The Man In Black:

Is he Arnold, the park's co-founder? Might explain the rogue hosts having one-sided conversations with "Arnold," who none of the other park employees knew. Dr. Ford said he had an "unfortunate accident" but never elaborated - maybe went a little crazy and decided to live in the park, or was locked in by Dr. Ford? But The Man In Black has certainly been in Westworld for a long time, possibly since the beginning, and now he wants to get out. I'm assuming the "maze under the park" is a reference to the multi-level operations that take place under the surface.

I could see that. How else could someone come to the park for 30+ years at $40,000 a day.
