Wow, with all the great stuff that came prior to it and it is the best? Must of been a bad decade for music.

Nostalgia mostly. People tend to like the decade they grew up in and all good music grows on you with time. Undoubtedly in 5-10 years there will be some songs from the early 2000's you love to hear.

I grew up in the 90's and I will take the 80's by a mile over anything made in the 90's. Maybe I'm an exception.
